Menu guidance for parents All food is sourced locally and cooked from fresh ingredients in our kitchen each day. Daily desserts may include: Fresh fruit, yoghurt, tinned or dried fruit or cheese and crackers. Discuss and choose dinner options with your child. Circle the option your child wants on each day. If your child is choosing the additional option they must also circle their preference of topping. Please return the menu to school by Wednesday 5 th December 2018 ensuring your child s name and class are completed. We will return a copy of your menu to allow you to keep track of your options. If your child has requested a vegetarian or additional option a list is kept by both kitchen staff and midday supervisors whom will advise children. Parents wishing to join their child for lunch are asked to contact the office one week in advance we will endeavour to accommodate these requests dependent upon the numbers of children having lunch on that particular day. All meals are subject to change to meet local needs. Our caterers are pleased to advise that they have been awarded the Gold Food For Life Catering Mark We will gently encourage children to try their meals. If you would positively like us to encourage your child to eat more of their meal please let the office know. Alternatively if you definitely DO NOT wish for us to encourage your child please let us know. As part of the government funded meal initiative for children in Reception Year 1 and Year 2, children will be provided with a free nutritious school meal each day. To support this healthy lifestyle initiative and build positive attitudes to healthy eating, there will not be a provision for packed lunches for these year groups. Payment for Nursery school dinners must be made in advance on a weekly, monthly or half termly basis. The cost of each meal from September 2018 will be 2.30. Dinner money can be paid in cash sent in an envelope, labelled with your child s name class and dinner money amount. Cheques are accepted made payable to Surrey County Council and you are able to pay online at www.scopay.com where you will find full instructions.
