We understand the concerns surrounding the issue of childhood obesity and are committed to provide you with products that comply with current regulations designed to curb this trend and make our children healthier. Half of our 11 Perry s ABC Novelty items are a good source of vitamin A, vitamin C, or calcium. Six of these contain 0 or fewer calories. In addition, we offer several partner brand items as well, 14 of which are at or below 90 calories; 4 are excellent sources of vitamin C; and 5 are at least good sources of calcium. As we anticipate the pending release of the USDA s recommendations for á la carte and vending sales we are already considering potential options to re-formulate some of the items to meet these expected new guidelines. 4 Perry s Ice Cream and the Buffalo Sabres team up for Shoot. Score. Read More! Since 007, Perry s Ice Cream has teamed up with the Buffalo Sabres to present the Shoot! Score! Read More! program to elementary schools in Buffalo. For the school year, schools were challenged to meet a reading goal set by their principal, based on number of minutes read per night. Over 0 elementary schools in the Buffalo area participated and six million minutes were read throughout the program. All participating schools received Perry s/sabres themed tracking posters for their classrooms and bookmarks for students. The top reading classroom was awarded a field trip to the First Niagara Center to watch Sabres practice, followed by a lunch and ice cream party with players to celebrate their reading success. Additional prizes were awarded at random to participating schools including a grand prize ice cream party and book reading with a Sabres player and three secondary prize winning schools received ice cream novelties and a visit from Sabres mascot, Sabretooth in March. Elementary schools in eligible areas will be mailed program information in the early Fall.
