His Papers contain a comparative study of the agriculture of Caribbean countries and a collection of photographs depicting agricultural methods in Jamaica, Hawaii, Haiti, Cuba, El Salvador, Panama, and Costa Rica, circa. Biography Thomas Forsyth Hunt was born in Ridott, Illinois in He received his B.A. (1884), M.A. (1892), and Ph.D. (1903) in Agriculture from the University of Illinois. He began his career in 1885 as an assistant to the state entomologist of Illinois. He then served as Assistant Professor of Agriculture at the University of Illinois ( ); Professor of Agriculture at Pennsylvania State College; Professor of Agriculture and Dean of the College of Agriculture and Domestic Science at Ohio State University ( ); Professor of Agronomy at Cornell University; and Dean of the School of Agriculture and Director of the Pennsylvania Agricultural Experiment Station ( ). In 1912, Hunt came to the University of California, Berkeley as Dean of the College of Agriculture (now the University of California, Davis), Director of the Experiment Station, and Professor of Agriculture.
