3 A master carpenter learned first the art of driving a nail. A master dancer early on perfected the discipline of stretching. A long time ago, the master listener discovered that life cannot be fully appreciated without quieting the self and paying attention to the subject at hand. To become a master, first become a mini-master: master the minute and elementary aspects of your discipline. At the right time, you will be known as Master. This booklet is a startup guide on raw and living vegan food. It contains five very simple recipes. My suggestion for you is to master these recipes. The recipes are simple. Once this simple food enters your body, your body performs complex actions to give you health above and beyond what you could ever ask or think. Keep on making these recipes over and over again. Repetition of a good system leads to mastery. Simplicity gives you focus and focus will make you successful. Take your time and enjoy playing with the colors, textures, and smells of raw and living vegan food. You will be on your way to becoming a raw and living food master chef. Do your best to consume as much organic ingredients as you can. Organic food is higher in minerals and vitamins than foods that have been sprayed with toxic chemicals.
4 It s not where you come from or where you ve been. It is who you become that s important in the end. Raw Green Smoothie 1 Ripe mango (peel and cut away the meat from the big seed) 2 ripe frozen bananas (to freeze bananas, peel them, cut them up, put them in a sealed container and place in freezer) ½ avocado ¼ cup spring water or freshly pressed fruit juice 5 kale leaves A handful of goji berries Place frozen bananas and water in a food processor and process until smooth and creamy. Place this mixture into a blender. Add mango to mixture and blend. Add a little extra water if necessary until mixture blends easily. Add kale leaves and goji berries and blend. Lastly, add avocado and blend until mixture is creamy. You ve got a frosty, nutritious treat! What an amazing breakfast. Did you read the Soulful Message? Inspiring words are just as important as physical food. The Bible says that man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.
5 Everyday, I reflect on the wonder of colors. I visit flower gardens and marvel at the spectrum of hues. I meditate on the yellow glow of a candle. I wear colors that inspire my soul. Green Juice 5 leaves of kale 5 stalks of celery 3 leaves of dandelion Juice of 1 lemon 1 cucumber Optional: ½ to 1 apple Wash produce. Cut into pieces to fit into juicer. Juice the pieces. Add juice of 1 lemon and stir. Pour into glass. Garnish with lemon, lime, or orange slice. Green juice is alkalizing. It is so good for you! Green juice helps to clean your body. Of all the raw foods, green juice is probably the champion. Research the benefits of green juice. When you drink a green juice, you are drinking a glass of liquid sunshine. Green juice detoxifies you, it energizes you, it helps you curb sugar cravings, it strengthens your nails, hair, and teeth, it makes your skin smooth, it helps people cure themselves of many diseases--including cancer, it heals internal sores, it helps bones and nerves heal faster, it calms you, and gives you clarity. Think green and drink green. The green drink is the drink of superstars!
6 We become the vibration of the foods that we consume. If we eat junk, then we invite the energy of waste into our being. If we eat raw almonds and peaches, grapes and greens, cucumbers, tomatoes, and juicy watermelon, then we become who we are intended to become: brilliant! Rainbow Salad When you make a salad, feel free to make it colorful. Put all the colors of the rainbow in it. These colors have marvelous healing qualities. Here s a good salad to make: 1 head of romaine lettuce 2 handfuls of spring mix ¼ small onion, sliced 2 tomatoes, sliced or cubed A few pieces of dulse (a wild sea vegetable) Fresh olives (as many as you desire) 1 cup of fresh basil ¼ cup of fresh cilantro 1 clove of garlic, minced Add as much sprouts (such as adzuki, alfalfa, sunflower, lentil, or radish) as you desire Wash lettuce, dry it, and tear into bite size pieces. Wash basil and cilantro and dry. Place lettuce and spring mix in big bowl. Add sprouts and mix in with lettuce and spring mix. Add tomatoes, garlic, onions, olives, and drizzle-pieces to salad. Lightly toss and pour over salad the dressing from the next page.
7 Regret is the consequence of keeping excuses alive. Move from Regret Street to Purpose Pathway. Fresh Ginger Salad Dressing ¼ cup first cold press or stone ground organic olive oil ¼ cup lemon juice or apple cider vinegar ½ cup freshly squeezed orange juice 1 inch piece of fresh ginger, minced 2 cloves of minced garlic ¼ teaspoon Himalayan sea salt ½ cup raisins, soaked for 1 hour Fresh or dried oregano to your liking Place ingredients in blender and blend until smooth. Pour this tantalizing dressing over salad. Make your own salad dressings. Dressing that you prepare yourself are enzyme-rich. The store bought dressings are usually heated and therefore acidic. The heat destroys the enzymes that you need for an alkaline body. The fresher your food, than the tastier your food will be. A simple salad is gratifying. As you continue eating raw and living vegan food, your taste buds will become more refined. With a refined palate, you will appreciate the flavors simple foods.
8 As you re living your life s purpose, you may at times find yourself stumbling. Stay focused, calm, and steadfast. Eventually, you re going to stumble on something so beautiful that you ll view all your past stumbles with a grateful eye. You ll come to realize that without the stumbles you would never know greatness. Walnut Pate 4 cups walnuts (soaked overnight) 2 stalks celery 8 cloves garlic ½ tablespoons Himalayan sea salt 1 cup of onion, roughly chopped 1 tablespoon fresh dill 1 tablespoon curry powder 1 cup red bell pepper 1 and ½ tsp cumin powder 1 jalapeño pepper 6 dates (soak for 1 hour) Put ingredients in food processor and mix until smooth. You can eat a scoop of this pate with your salad, as a lettuce or collard green wrap filing with sprouts and vegetables, as a nori sheet filling with sprouts and vegetables, or just by itself.
