3 Gentlemen: TO THE STATE DRECTOR OF AGRCULTURE THE HO~~ORABLE BOARD OF SUPERVSORS THE CHEF ADl-f[NSTRATVE OFFCER t gives us great pleasure to present the Stanislaus County Annual Crop Report, as required by- Section 79 of the California. Agricultural Code. After compiling this report we '~ere pleasantly surprised that the county once more showed a record breaking total incodle figure. This was not anticipated as the weather conditions during the year were not too favorable for many of our fruit and vine crops. This report covers the acreage production and value of all crops produced and the value of all livestock and poultry products sold during the year. Also, listed is the acreage of bearing and non-bearing permanent crops. Emphasis must be made, that the total income of agricultural products includes all the costs of production and does not indicate that this is net return to the producer. '~e wish to express our appreciation to all of the people in agriculture, industry, the irrigation districts, the members of the Agricultural Extension Staff and the Agricultural Commissioner's Staff for their cooperation in making this report possible. We also wish to express our appreciation to Frank Hayes, Deputy Agricultural Commissioner$ who worked so diligently in compiling this report.. d. ARl'm:r-r v.
