Its gentle richness folds fresh notes of salt air into smooth lemon-custard flavors. The fresh impression lasts. Chill it for crab. a shley s c h a r d o n n ay ALC. 14.2% BY VOL. 93 points 2017 Ashley s IN THIS SHIPMENT (featured in Year s Best s issue) (featured in Year s Best s issue) This is the most integrated and finely ripe of the Fess Parker pinot noirs we tasted for this issue. There s a lasting buzz of ocean cold and inland heat in this Santa Rita Hills pinot, a tight, floral fruit in harmony with the rich and generous texture. The oak feels present but remains gently in the background, adding a little toasty sweetness to complement the finegrained sandy tannins. A match for grilled whole snapper. This wine captures the warm/cool contrast of the Santa Rita Hills in its brisk and zesty fruit, pink in the middle, red in the end, a bright flavor set against the brash, almost boozy alcohol and smoky ripeness. It comes together in a clean finish, and the elements begin to knit as the wine takes on air. Decant it before grilling salmon. Rosé is back! W hen our daughter and her 24 year-old friends sing It s the most wonderful time of the year upon learning of our annual Pinot Noir Rosé release, it is apparent that the Rosé trend is cemented in our wine consuming society. And, what s not to love? These wines are bright, fresh and enjoyable on their own or with lighter fare. Mouth-watering acidity keeps these wines refresh ing and the perfect choice all the way through summertime. P.O. Box 908 Los Olivos, CA FAX
3 The World of Parker Dinner, Denmark, and Lonesome Dove I t was great to see all of you who came out for our inaugural OTBN dinner. The Bear and Star crew did a terrific job and the 10, 11 and 12 pinots and syrahs were drinking beautifully. F rom Tivoli Gardens to Texas would be a great title for this next section of the World of Parker. Tim spent a week in Denmark where we sell a surprising amount of wine with the help of our wonderful importer, H.J. Hansen. He made stops in Copenhagen, Odense and Aarhus pouring the wines at sold-out consumer and trade events. Tim Snider and Dorthee Preiss, H.J.
