CAFÉ DU SOLEIL Christmas 2017 at Café du Soleil Christmas is fast approaching, and at Café du Soleil we are offering a flexible range of great Christmas packages for groups and parties of all sizes.

We have a special Christmas menu of carefully selected dishes, which offers a wide range of choice and quality, whilst maintaining great value for money. Please find a copy with this letter.

1 CAFÉ DU SOLEIL Christmas 2017 at Café du Soleil Christmas is fast approaching, and at Café du Soleil we are offering a flexible range of great Christmas packages for groups and parties of all sizes. In addition to our main dining room, we have a beautiful private function room which is ideal for larger groups of people, that can be reserved for your exclusive use at no extra cost. We have a special Christmas menu of carefully selected dishes, which offers a wide range of choice and quality, whilst maintaining great value for money. Please find a copy with this letter. To ensure the smooth running of the meal, we do ask groups of 12 or more to chose their food in advance, so please also find a pre-order form included for this purpose. Because everything on our menu is made fresh to order by our chefs, we are extremely flexible, so if you have any dietary requirements or special requests, or would like a particular dish which is not currently listed on the attached menu, then please do not hesitate to contact us. The full menu can be seen at We are also able to offer tailor made buffets for more casual events, or indeed create bespoke menus to suit your party. Also included in this pack is a copy of our wine list, should you wish to pre-order any drinks with your meal. Making a booking Check how many will be in your group, then phone us to confirm whether we have availability on your preferred date and time. Once you have made a booking, ask each person in your group to select what dish they would like for each course using our pre-order form. When returning the pre-order please also include a non-refundable deposit of 10 per head. Please note that we cannot usually charge individually at the end of the meal, as this becomes infeasible when large numbers of people are involved. 95 Adelaide Hills Superbly indulgent, wonderfully rich and complex. A nose strongly reminiscent of dried apricots is the very start of a vinous journey full of excesses.

The palate is unctuous and complex with a long, candied fruit finish. (15%abv) 60. Australia The Noble Botryotinia Fuckeliana SB, d Arenberg ml Adelaide Hills Superbly indulgent, wonderfully rich and complex. A nose strongly reminiscent of dried apricots is the very start of a vinous journey full of excesses. The palate is equally dominated by these exorbitant apricot notes but of equal importance are the complexing flavours of ginger bread, tinned pineapple, honey, cinnamon and cumquat. (10.4% abv) 61. France Section Chenin Blanc, Domaine Gayda ml Languedoc This vineyard was planted after the discovery that morning mists appeared in the autumn giving a great opportunity to make a sweet Botrytis style wine. Shiny gold appearance, pronounced nose of candied stone and exotic fruits, pineapple and apricot confit, orange confit, quince and honey. Powerful and intense sweetness, underpinned by a crisp backbone of acidity and a long finish.(11%abv) 62. Portugal Late Bottled Vintage Port, Quinta do Crasto ml Douro This late bottled Vintage shows brooding black cherry fruit with a huge cedary core glass. A simple wine with a fine dark colour, ripe and mouth filling and rounded off by sweet finish. (20%abv) 63. Australia Liquer Muscat, Skillogalee NV ml Clare Valley This shows nutty, raisin and apricot flavours, and is full and sweet enough to match well with the sweetest desserts (even chocolate!). The average age of the blend is 25 years. This wine is served chilled. (18%abv) Throughout our carefully curated winelist, you will find various wines from Domaine Gayda in the Languedoc. Domain Gayda is the creation of Tim Ford and his partners, who together had a vision of making New World style wines, in the traditional sun soaked vineyards of southwest France. They have built a state of the art winery and restaurant, set amongst their vines, in a small village just outside Carcassone. The grapes are all grown bio-dynamically, hand-picked and then carefully matured in oak barrels, concrete eggs or steel tanks, as appropiate to each variety and style of wine being produced, to create award winning terroir-driven single varietals, and complex multi-layered blends.
