Rural, complex and complete Gualtallary Appellation Malbec, Cadus 2 73/4 42 Mendoza, Argentina abv 14.5% Cadus is a new project focusing all its energy on crafting unique wines from the best sites in the valley. The combination of altitude (1300m) and rocky, calcareous soils provide a platform for Malbec to excel. Intense purple in colour, the wine displays great minerality, fresh herbal notes, spice and beautifully expressive black fruits. The palate is elegant with nice fresh acidity, silky tannins and a long finish Monteagrelo Malbec, Bressia Mendoza, Argentina abv 14.5% Walter Bressia has spent decades quietly accruing relationships with growers and has emerged with an eclectic portfolio from six sites that, represents the very best of the region. Walter Bressia and son Walter Jnr, are crafting their own very compelling expressions of the region and these are intensely personal wines. The vineyard is 3,083 feet above sea level. Grapes were harvested by hand. A blend of 5 parcels, aged in French & American oak for 8-10 months. No fining or filtration. Pure and powerful, yet elegant and aromatic, this is a deeply compelling Malbec. The rich plum, cherry, sweet spice, liquorice and violet aromas on the nose are reflected on the palate along with layers of mineral, fruit and savoury notes, with balanced acidity to deliver a long finish.
