1 2016 DISTRIBUTOR BROCHURE Inspired by a passion for beer and a momentous bike tour through Europe, New Belgium Brewing Company was brewed is a big year for New Belgium, and we re looking to celebrate. For starters, it s our 25th anniversary, and to kick it all off, we re introducing the Fat Tire and Friends collaboration pack, where we let five of our favorite breweries put their spin on the beer that started it all. Look for new twists on an old favorite from Allagash, Avery, Firestone Walker, HUB and Rhinegeist also marks the opening of our new brewery in Asheville, NC. After years of hard work, our new outpost is an environmentally friendly work of art that will help us spread the New Belgium spirit across the country as we continue to roll into new states nation wide. In addition, we ll also be celebrating an exciting assortment of new seasonals, Hop Kitchen exclusives and a new Lips of Faith 4-pack. 3 HOP KITCHEN CALENDAR INDIA PALE ALE INDIA PALE ALE BOTANICAL IMPERIAL STOUT This big imperial ipa packs an equally potent hop punch courtesy of bravo, cascade, sterling and willamette varieties; and then we intensified the citrusy, herbal and spicy hop flavors with a blast of essential oils from backyard botanicals like basil, sage and juniper to create the freshest ipa around. Pale and caramel malts add a cushion to the sip before transitioning to a warm, dry finish. ABV: 8.5% IBU: 85 MARCH 15 TH JUICY MANDARINA Take a trip to the tropics with the ultra-smooth JUICY MANDARINA IPA. Sporting a full array of island hop vibes courtesy of citrusy mandarina bavaria, vibrant calypso, tropical galaxy and a bonus experimental hop that rounds out the endsemble with bright, breezy floral notes. Fruity hybrid yeast accentuates the burst of hops, while soft wheat malts float each sip across the tongue with ease. ABV: 6.5% IBU: 65 MAY 2 ND 1/2 bbl 1/6 bbl BRETTA IPA This Hop Kitchen release dares to cross wickedly wild brettanomyces yeast with some of our favorite fruity hop varieties. Conditioned on two strains of brettanomyces for a month, the IPA s citrusy, piney hop notes courtesy of equinox, galaxy and warrior riff off the yeast s pineapple flavors, while rustic undertones emphasize a wild streak. 5 Fat Tire Amber Ale was born from a well-planned bicycle trip through the beer-loving Belgian countryside. Like its Belgian brethren, Fat Tire pours a brilliant amber and settles a strong white head atop. The aroma is all biscuit and caramel apples. They re our beloved sales team, put in the world to Protect, to Pour and to Partake in all New Belgium beers and the inspiration behind our hop-licious Ranger IPA. This sparkling, copper beauty bursts with abundance: Cascade, Chinook, and Simcoe hops deliver a big grapefruit punch. Cascades were added again for an intense citrusy, dry-hopped flavor. Brewed with wheat and pale malt, Snapshot pours a hazy, lemon-yellow with bright-white lacing. But that snap of tart is the real enticement. 7 Our Trippel is a big, beautiful Belgian-style ale. This golden beer opens with a bold blast of spicy Noble hops, courtesy of Saaz and Hallertau Mittlefruh, and gives way to the fruity aromas offered by our traditional Belgian yeast. Brewed with Pilsner and Munich malts, Trippel is classically smooth and complex, and sings with a high-note of sweet citrus before a pleasantly dry finish delivers a warm, strong boozy bite. This garnet brown-hued Belgian-style dubbel is strong on character and rich in flavor. Seven malts, including caramel, chocolate and Munich, and a classic Belgian yeast waft off sweet, spicy aromas. Rich tones of chocolate and dark caramel mix with nuanced dried cherries, burnt sugar and figs. Sweet and roasty upfront, followed by a slightly bitter finish.
