3 PSA CONVENTION 2017 NETWORKING EXCURSION GUIDE Golf $175 Saturday, October 21 1:00 PM - 6:00 PM Meals: Snacks and beverages available for purchase. What to Bring: Clubs rental available. Situated in scenic Keauhou, Kona Country Club features spectacular ocean views, excellent facilities and friendly service. One can always expect pleasant sunny skies and gentle ocean breezes. Home of LPGA Takefuji Classic in 2000 and 2001, this 18hole championship course offers wide, lush fairways, Bermuda grass greens and numerous sand bunkers. The only natural obstacles are the turquoise blue water and lava rocks. Enjoy seeing the grand splash on hole #13 where you will see the blow hole known as puka in Hawaiian. Kohala Waterfalls Adventure $230 Saturday, October 21 1:00 PM - 6:00 PM Meals: Lunch, beverages and snack will be provided. What to Bring: Guests should wear close-toed walking shoes and a bathing suit under clothing. Please bring a hat, sunscreen and a towel. Guests must be able to walk over uneven, muddy terrain and manage short climbs. Walking distance is less than 2 miles. For an all-around Hawaiian adventure, come with us into the heart of the Kohala countryside. North Kohala is a land of old sugar plantations, Hawaiian legends, and natural beauty. The excursion begins with a scenic drive through the Kohala countryside, including a six-wheel drive adventure to the trailhead. The loop trail offers streams, waterfalls, and foot bridges, plus ancient Hawaiian terraces and flumes along the famous Kohala Ditch. A swim in the Falls will be available, time permitting. Flumin' Kohala $360 Sunday, October 22 7:15 AM - 1:30 PM Meals: Breakfast will be provided. What to Bring: Guests should wear a bathing suit and bring sunscreen. A waterproof disposable camera is recommended (everything on the Kayak will get wet). Guests must be able to walk over uneven ground and sit for at least one hour in an upright position without back support. Hand drilled and blasted over a century ago out of solid rock deep in the canyons of Kohala, The Ditch brought water and prosperity to the people of Kohala. Flumin Kohala offers a unique and exclusive adventure deep in the historically rich and verdant mountains of Kohala. There you will explore the much storied Kohala Ditch, a 110-yearold system of hand-wrought tunnels, elevated flumes, and concrete channels that once supplied millions of gallons of fresh water to the vast sugar cane plantations of Kohala. On a leisurely kayak float through 3 miles of the 14.5-mile system, you will have the rare opportunity to access lush private islands, streams, waterfalls and other natural and man-made wonders kapu (forbidden) to all except guests of Flumin Kohala. 3

4 Hula Kai Deluxe Morning Snorkel Cruise $250 Sunday, October 22 NEW TIME! 9:00 AM - 2:45 PM Meals: Breakfast, lunch and snorkel gear are included. A cash bar will be open for the return trip after your snorkel adventure. What to Bring: Guests should wear a bathing suit and cover up. Please bring a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen and a towel. Guests should keep electronics in a waterproof bag. Spray-on sunscreen is not allowed. Mauna Kea Summit and Stars Adventure $360 Sunday, October 22 2:30 PM - 10:30 PM Meals: Dinner, hooded parkas and gloves are included. What to Bring: Although guests are provided hooded parkas, a light sweater or jacket, long pants and good walking shoes are recommended. While walking is very light on this tour, guests should be able to hike on uneven or rocky terrain. *Scuba divers please note that the summit altitude is over 13,000 feet (4000 meters). Manta Ray Night Snorkel Adventure $160 Sunday, October 22 5:30 PM - 7:45 PM Meals: Hot soup with rolls, hot drinks, snorkel, mask, fins and wetsuit are included. Beer and wine are available for purchase. What to Bring: Guests should bring towel, bathing suit and warm clothing or light jacket. Board the Hula Kai for an exciting night snorkel adventure with the Manta Rays. Your adventure is at night for the best viewing of the mantas. Although you can view mantas during daylight hours, they feed most actively at night, when many plankton rise towards the surface, providing one of the favorite foods on which mantas feed. Using dive lights that are safe for the manta, we are able to attract the plankton which attracts the mantas. Manta rays do not have stingers like the Sting Rays; mantas are completely safe to be around. We invite you to enjoy the ultimate experience! 4

5 Kona Coffee, Chocolate, and Brew $280 Monday, October 23 1:00 PM - 5:30 PM Meals: Lunch and samples are provided. What to Bring: Guests should wear comfortable, close-toed shoes, wear or bring long pants and a light jacket. This tour is not wheelchair or walker accessible, approximately 100 yards of walking may be over uneven terrain. This is not a tour for guests with severe nut allergies. Join us as we indulge your taste buds and experience a more sumptuous side of Kona. Our small group size means a more intimate experience and visits to places larger groups are not allowed. We head south along the coast and share the historical and cultural highlights of Kona district. Go behind the scenes and find out how the Greenwell family coffee farm helped make 100% Kona coffee one of the most sought after coffees in the world, see how treats from the mild (dry roasted mac nuts) to wild (cayenne covered chocolate coffee beans) are made at Donkey Balls Chocolate Factory, and sample selections of signature ales at the Kona Brewing Company. Hawaii Stand-Up Paddle Board Lessons $150 Monday, October 23 1:45 PM - 4:15 PM Meals: Snack and drinks on the beach are available for purchase following the lesson. What to Bring: Guests should wear bathing suit and bring sunscreen and a towel. Recommended foot wear includes aqua socks or Teva type footwear. Stand-up board and life jacket are included. The 2-hour paddle board lesson will have you on your feet and enjoying the calm pristine Keauhou waters in no time. We have a variety of paddle boards to suit all sizes and ages, anyone from 8 to 85 years of age can try and succeed. NOTE: Registration for all excursions closes at 5:00 PM on Friday, October 20.
