2 BREAKFAST WITH BRUCE Monday, March 27th 8:30 am Brays Island Nature Center Join Naturalist, Bruce Lampright, for a delectable continental breakfast at the Brays Island Nature Center. Listen to the soothing water feature while sitting on the Nature Center's outdoor deck (weather permitting), as Bruce discusses current nature "happenings" and upcoming nature events. The Nature Center will provide the simple victuals, but additional breakfast foods are always appreciated. There will be no charge for this event Registration is not necessary for this event. For questions, please contact the Nature Center at LADIES BLOOM & BLAST Tuesday, March 28th 9:30 am Shoot 11:30 am Lunch Brays Island Gun Club Ladies, put on your flowery hats and bright spring colors and join us for a beautiful morning Bloom and Blast. We will meet at 9:30 am to shoot as much or as little as you want. There will be unique 100 bird menus for the occasion if you are interested. As a special treat, pink "blooms" will be placed in machines throughout the course, and prizes will be awarded for those fortunate enough to blast a bloom. We encourage any ladies to join us for lunch, even if you are not going to shoot. We are going to have a BLAST! Maybe it's a Cherokee Rose? This five hour class will aid you in identifying the birds and wildflowers of Brays Island and the neighboring Lowcountry. After a short presentation in the Nature Center, participants will venture out on the property with visual tools in order to better understand the flora and fauna living nearby. Handouts and the pocket field guide to the butterflies and wildflowers of Brays Island will be included in the program fee. 4 WINE EXPO Wednesday, March 29th 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm Brays Island Inn Join us for this amazing Expo, here at Brays Island! There will be over 70 wines from all over the world to sample and purchase at wholesale prices for your holiday and everyday wine needs. The best part is that it is FREE! Republic National, Breakthru, Southern Wine and Spirits, The Country Vintner and Advintage Distributors will be on hand to answer any of your questions and offer you the best discounted wine buying prices for the season. This event is casual dress and it is a great chance for those who wish to learn more about wines they have not tried and to compare wines side-by-side. There is no limit on the amount of attendants, but we do ask that you sign-up so that we can have an estimate of the number of those attending. You'll drift along the shores of Hall Island and venture out into the Pocotaligo River, in search of feeding Bottlenose Dolphins and noisy Clapper Rails. Five single kayaks and two tandem kayaks are available. 5 NATURE WALK: BELLEVUE LOOP Saturday, April 1st 9:00 am to 11:00 am Brays Island Nature Center Join Naturalist, Bruce Lampright, for a two mile walk through the woods. Explore the understory in search of mushrooms, plants, and small invertebrates...who knows what you'll turn up! This is also a great time to search for the wonderfully fragrant Native Azalea occasionally found in this area. Meet: Bring: Cost: Brays Island Nature Center at 9:00 am Binoculars, drinking water, rubber boots/waterproof shoes, and bug spray No Charge Registration is not necessary for this event. Next Saturday, April 8th, join us for dinner at the Brays Island Plantation Grille. An blast in regards to the menu of that Saturday s dining venue will be sent out on the Friday afternoon before.
