New Caledonian Bourbon pointu 19,00 20,50 The history of coffee in New Caledonia dates back to the nineteenth century, when the shrub was brought there for the first time by missionaries from the Reunion Island, hence the name Bourbon coffee which is still in use today. A Leroy coffee of the Arabica variety, the shrub is particularly low, with small, narrow leaves, short internode and beans pointed at both ends. Another distinguishing feature of the Leroy coffee beans is that they lose only 16-17% of their weight during roasting, while ordinary beans lose around 20%.
