I love handmade gifts from students (I ve received cards, ornaments, bookmarks, poems, notes, earrings, fudge/cookies, etc.) Any time a student gives a gift, I light up. I love my job, so I don t ever expect any gift, because I get so much out of what I do every day. Whenever I get a gift, I am surprised. Honestly. I feel blessed all the time, and anything extra melts my heart. Truly, this community is its own gift.
