4 Room descriptions Papillon Room The stunning design provides an open, spacious ambience with extensive glazing allowing plenty of natural light. The Papillon room enjoys numerous opening doors onto the wrap-around deck that allows peaceful views over the surrounding grasslands, perfect for breaks and fresh air. At night the Papillon Room is transformed into a stunning evening function and wedding venue hosting up to 200 people. Features: Full surrounding decks with views, air conditioning, high ceilings. Options available: Ceiling mounted data projector, 2.4m screen, PA system, lectern, in-house DJ system with over 40,000 songs. Boardroom Situated on the first floor, the Boardroom is a private room catering for groups ranging from 5 to 16 people. It has its own small break-out balcony which allows natural light to flow in. This room is ideal for any small corporate meeting or workshop training. Features: Air-conditioning, balcony. Options available: Electronic whiteboard Café Hosting over 160 guests, the cafe can be used exclusively for evening events and functions or sectioned off for day events. The spacious café opens out into the adjoining garden courtyard allowing guests to move between the two areas. The café is perfect for enjoying your night with relaxing drinks and nibbles after a full day of conferencing or as a function venue offering something out of the ordinary who has dinner next to a crocodile? 2

11 Attractions Conference attendees qualify for a 50% discount off entrance to the Butterfly Creek attractions on the day of their conference or meeting. Exhibits and attractions include the tropical butterfly house, crocodiles, alligators, reptiles, bugs, farm animals, aquaria and Dinosaur Kingdom. A perfect way to spend during a break or to complete your day. 9

12 Encounters and Team Building After-hours croc encounter The perfect way to start your evening function, or to end your conference. Enjoy a tropical walk through the Butterfly house, spot the cotton-top tamarin monkeys, fish, turtles and more, and then be escorted to an after-hours exclusive encounter with our cold-blooded reptilian friends. Learn all about Scar & Goldie - our two giant saltwater crocs whilst observing the keepers interacting with them. This is a fantastic opportunity to experience Butterfly Creek without the crowds, it sure is an experience with the x-factor. $10 per person Minimum of 30 guests Duration minutes Experience must commence no later than 6pm Available only for a function or conference group Lock N Load Paintball Lock N Load Paintball is New Zealand s Premier paintball park. Conveniently located minutes away from Auckland airport, we provide ideal activities for team building including paintball and/or outdoor Laser Tag. Full safety equipment and briefings are given by experienced staff. We offer both half and full day team building options, or you are welcome to just play your own game of paintball. 13 Terms and conditions Our function team aim to provide facilities, hospitality and service of the very highest quality. The following terms and conditions have been designed to assist us in fulfilling this expectation and to ensure that your event is a successful one. TENTATIVE BOOKINGS We may hold a tentative booking for a maximum of 14 days. If you do not confirm your booking in this time, we reserve the right to release the space without notice. CONFIRMATION Please confirm your booking in writing, together with a deposit, within 14 days of the booking being made. Your booking is only confirmed on receipt of the deposit. Credit card facilities are available. CANCELLATION Cancellation of a booking must be advised in writing or . If the event is cancelled with less than 4 weeks notice, the deposit may be refunded only if the booking capacity is resold. An administration fee of $100 will be deducted from all refunded deposits. PAYMENT Full payment for any event shall be made five full working days prior to the event unless prior credit arrangements have been agreed with the company. MENU SELECTION Please confirm your food and beverage selection as soon as possible and no later than seven full working days prior to the booking. Catering charges will apply if the required cancellation time is not adhered to. Menus do change seasonally. GUARANTEED NUMBERS In order for us to arrange catering and staffing resources a guaranteed minimum number of guests attending is requested seven full working days prior to the event. Minimum charges will be based on that guaranteed number. EXTENDED HOURS Extra venue hire costs shall be incurred should the event extend past the confirmed departure time. PRICE VARIATIONS All prices are current at the time of quotation and every endeavour is made to maintain them. Butterfly Creek reserves the right to alter published or confirmed prices at any time prior to the event to cover increased costs incurred. CONDUCT OF THE EVENT The client and persons in attendance shall at all times behave in an orderly manner and comply with all laws, regulations and venue rules. The company shall be entitled to remove any persons from the event whose behaviour, in the opinion of the company, is objectionable, improper or undesirable. DAMAGE TO VENUE The client will be responsible for all damages including all breakages to glassware and crockery caused to the venue by any persons in attendance at the event (other than those under the control or direction of the company) and shall forthwith pay to the company the cost of rectification of any damages. SECURITY For all functions that will have number of attendees exceeding 80 persons and may have a large consumption of alcohol throughout the evening - we request the service of a security person or persons.
