Our stunning18th century building has had many guises throughout the years including a school and a hospital before becoming the pub it is today. Whether you ve spent your time exploring the surrounding countryside, the historic Quarry Mill Bank or the wonderful shopping in Alderley Edge; The Merlin is an ideal spot to relax and refuel after a busy day. Our cosy bar is brimming with atmosphere. It provides the perfect location for a glass of wine or a pint of your favourite beer. With a warm and cosy bar, stylish restaurant, sumptuous private dining spaces and our exclusive pergola, we can provide the perfect setting for any occasion. The Merlin also benefits from two more private areas that are perfect for a larger group meal, a party or even your next meeting. Available to book exclusively; these spaces are great for any occasion.

4 PARTIES, CELEBRATIONS AND GROUP DINING From christenings to birthdays, office parties to baby showers, The Merlin is the perfect place for your next celebration. There are a number of spaces available to book depending on your occasion. Our restaurant brings together traditional charm and contemporary styling to provide the perfect location for a delicious meal with friends. The private dining rooms, Lancelot and Excalibur, are available to book exclusively and are the perfect location for larger parties and gatherings. Both spaces can accommodate up to 30 people and are ideal for almost any event. The bar area at The Merlin is full of atmosphere. Enjoy a glass of your favourite wine or beer in front of the roaring log fire before moving through to the restaurant. In the warmer months, why not celebrate al fresco in our exclusive pergola? Ideal for groups of up to 70 people; it s the perfect place for your summer celebration. There are a number of different spaces available to book for your celebration including our exclusive private dining spaces. 5 BUSINESS MEETINGS AND CORPORATE EVENTS Both of The Merlin s private dining areas would provide the ideal place for your next business meeting or corporate event. The Lancelot and Excalibur rooms can accommodate up to 30 people in a variety of different layouts. The spaces benefit from: Projector & screen Flipcharts and pens Tea & coffee facilities Complimentary Wi-Fi. Our team of skilled chefs can provide a wide range of refreshments to suit your needs; from light bites to lunch buffets or evening meals. We will also ensure that all your drinks needs are catered for; make use of the tea and coffee facilities or order drinks to be served directly to your tables. If a private room is a little too formal for your meeting or work meal, our bar area is ideal for a casual coffee or lunch to catch up with clients. Pull up an armchair and let our team look after you. Our Events Manager will work with you to ensure that all of your requirements are catered for. The dedicated Events Coordinator and experienced team at The Merlin will be there on the day of your event to ensure that everything runs smoothly and that you have everything you need. Tea and coffee making facilities are available in the private spaces as well as the option of a buffet lunch served into the room. Complimentary WiFi is available throughout the venue. From cocktails, to wine through to craft beers and refreshing ciders, there s sure to be something to suit every guest. We also offer a fantastic range of drinks packages to accompany your meal. We re able to provide delicious lunches and dinners as well as snacks to suit your schedule and requirements. Our range of set, canapé and buffet menus are ideal for a larger party and, as they re inspired by our seasonal a la carte menu, we re sure there ll be something to tempt everybody.
