2 OSCAR L. HEMPHILL *TIICULT"RAL COMYIasIONEI) TELEPHONE a.4150 P 0. BOX 1148 OFFlCC OF TULARE COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE 200 NORTH CHURCH STREET VISALIA, CALIFORNIA To The Honorable Board of Supervisors Mare County and W. C. Jacobsen, Acting Director State Department of Agriculture The Agricultural Code states in Section 65.5; "The Commissioner shall compile reports of the condition, acreage, production and value of the agricultural products of his county. The Commissioner may publish such reports and shall transmit a copy thereof to the Director." Insofar as possible, the acreage represents Ifnet planted~~ and the values of all crops are f.0.b. basis - not what the farmer received. It is intended that all returns shall mean income to Ware County and thus include the cost of picking, hauling, packing and otherwise preparing for delivery at the point of packing. We are indebted to the many individuals and organizations for their help and co-operation in making available to this department their records and information in the compilation of these data and wish to express our appreciation for this valuable help. Oscar L. Hemphill Agricultural Commissioner
