Background Summary Bulls Head, Mottram St Andrew

Overview - With pubs in the North West and South, Brunning and Price businesses are essentially unbranded and our managers enjoy a great deal of autonomy, largely acting like owners of their own freehouses. Guided by our skilled central Ops team and working within a framework, our managers and crew put together their own menus of freshly cooked food, decent and affordable wine lists, cask beer line ups and a good shelf of malt whiskies - all of which ensure that each pub has its own style and flavour, helping us to maintain both individuality and a sense of community. History Brunning and Price Ltd was established by Jerry Brunning and Graham Price in 1988, and grew to become the established, award winning pub company that was acquired by The Restaurant Group Plc in 2007. The head office is in Chester and Graham Price remains the Managing Director. The Present Day Brunning and Price currently have 47 pubs nationwide, the coverage is split between 26 pubs in the North West and Wales, and 21 pubs in the South East. TRG also owns Blubeckers and Home Counties pubs, which add a further 8 pubs to the portfolio. Last year the company turnover was in excess of 60m. The Future The pub division is a key element to the strategy of TRG, with a strategy of increased growth planned. The business will open 4 new pubs in 2015 and it is envisaged that a further 8 pubs will be opened in 2016, with increased growth in the following years. Market Leading Reputation Brunning and Price were named 2013 Pub Group of the year by the Good Pub Guide, an award which they have won a number of times. The Bulls Head in Mottram St Andrew, Cheshire was awarded New Pub of The Year in this year s guide. All of the company s pubs are recommended in the Good Pub Guide, an accolade that is unique to Brunning and Price.
