Go through and tick as many as you wish to invite! LIFESTYLE Resident Feedback The Residents Meeting held on Wednesday 28 June in House 6 with 4 residents in attendance and discussed: 1. No additional spices to be added to s. 2. Request made for rotation of meal servings so that the same table is not always served last. 3. Garden redevelopment around House 4. Work is under construction. Walking paths have been widened, water feature installed. Plants will arrive over the next few days. 4. Residents expressed their appreciation and compliments to gardener, Jeneaha, for her excellent work on the gardens around the facility. 5. Graffiti reported on fire box outside perimeter fence on Barry Street. To be referred to Maintenance. 6. Back gate (facing Campbell Street) for pedestrian access has a key pad and is now operational. 7. Over the coming months, all the lighting in Rembrandt Court will be changed over to LED lights which are much more energy efficient. 8. Within the next few weeks the appointment of a contractor to supply and install solar panels will be finalised. 9. New bedside cabinets still an issue. Management will discuss with supplier. 10. Exercise Physiology Classes confirmation is sought by some residents as to whether this is occurring. 11. Excessive TV noise in resident s room to be investigated by Management. Type 1 While a great deal of research is being done, at this stage nothing can be done to prevent or cure type 1 diabetes. Type 2 People at risk of type 2 diabetes can delay and may even prevent developing diabetes by up to 60% by following a healthy lifestyle. This includes regular physical activity, making healthy food choices and weight management. This is especially important if they have been told that they have prediabetes or insulin resistance. Change of Lunch and Dinner Time for House 1, 2 and 5 From Saturday 8 July, meal times for House 1, 2, 5 will change to Lunch at 1.00pm and Dinner at 6.00pm Disruption to Water Supply Advance Notice SA Water are turning of the water supply on Doreen Street for an upgrade to their pipes, this work will happen between the hours of 9pm Tuesday11th of July through to approx. 2am Wednesday 13 th July. 2017/18 Entertainment Book and School Holidays! The school holidays are coming. Help us raise funds to purchase gym equipment for our residents by purchasing an Entertainment Membership and you can enjoy heaps of value over the school holidays. Hundreds of valuable offers to keep the kids entertained this school holidays and help our fundraising at the same time! We are withdrawing the use of our PO Box in the very near future. Nurse Call Update We will be moving over to the new nurse call system within the next few weeks. The old wall call points will be removed and we will switch over to the new wall call points. These call points work similarly to the old ones, press the green Staff button if you need assistance. Call points in bedrooms also have a corded call button that can be clipped to bedding. Neck pendants will also be replaced with new ones. Please ask care staff if you are unsure of how to use the new call points. HAIRDRESSER To Residents and Rembrandt Community It has been well over 3 years since I have increased the price of any hairdressing services. With the costs of products rising and replacing towels, equipment etc it is time for me to increase my prices.
