Dean s Garden Centre is a family run business, serving local gardeners for more than 48 years. Our York Garden Centre at Stockton-on-the-Forest was established in 1968 by Ken and Margaret Dean. The original Bothy opened in 1991. The Garden Centre has gone from strength to strength and a second site at Scarborough was opened in 1986, followed by their Coffee Shop, The Gardener s Choice in 1995. Both Coffee Shops serve a variety of food and drinks, sourcing local produce whenever possible and supporting local suppliers. Following Mr & Mrs Dean s retirement in 1993, the business is now run by their 3 children. With the third generation of the family also working at the 2 sites, the Dean family are proud to be a family business with strong roots in the community.
