5 HAMPTON FAMILY Thank you from the Hampton Community Association to Hampton General Store for Supplying some items Pingles for supplying the corn on the cob Stuart for being the amazing Balloon Man The band for the great tunes Those who helped out and those who came to support Apple Cinnamon Crepes Prep time: 40 min Cook time: 15 min Ingredients: 3 large apples, cored and peeled 3 tablespoons brown sugar 1 teaspoon cinnamon Homemade crepes (detailed tutorial with photos here) gluten free crepes (use this link if you re gluten intolerant) Makes 4 servings 1) Chop apples into small cubes, place cubed apple slices in a medium bowl, add brown sugar and cinnamon, and toss everything together to coat chopped apples with brown sugar and cinnamon. Let the juices do their work for about 20 minutes. 2) In the mean time (or, beforehand), prepare crepes according to instructions. 3) Right before serving, heat chopped apples on medium heat in a skillet, and warm the crepes in a microwave for about 20 seconds. To serve, add chopped apples on top of the open crepe, and fold the crepe into the pocket shape. Sprinkle with powdered sugar right before serving, if desired. Butternut Squash Pizza with Hazelnut Dough Ingredients 1 cup very thinly sliced peeled, halved butternut squash Extra-virgin olive oil, for drizzling Coarse salt 1/4 cup finely ground yellow cornmeal 1 ball Hazelnut Pizza Dough 6 to 10 small or torn sage leaves 1 to 2 garlic cloves, thinly sliced Garnish: hazelnuts, toasted and coarsely chopped Directions 1. Preheat oven, preferably convection, to 500 degrees. Drizzle squash with oil, and season with salt; toss. 2. Spread cornmeal on a baking sheet. Stretch dough into a 9 1/2-inch round; transfer to baking sheet. Drizzle dough with oil, and arrange squash on top, leaving a 1/2-inch border. Bake for 6 minutes (10 minutes if not using convection oven). Meanwhile toss sage with garlic, and drizzle with oil to coat. Sprinkle sage mixture over pizza. Bake until crust is golden brown and cooked through, 6 minutes more (10 minutes more if not using convection oven). Garnish with hazelnuts, and drizzle with oil.
