2 APERITIFS /Glass /Jug Aperol Spritz Aperol is the perfect aperitif. Bright orange in colour, it has a unique taste, thanks to the secret recipe, which has never been changed, with infusions of selected ingredients including bitter and sweet oranges and many other herbs (including rhubarb) and roots in perfect proportions. Negroni James Bond drank a Negroni when he wasn t in the mood for a martini, and when Orson Welles tried his first one in 1947 he commented The bitters are excellent for your liver, the gin is bad for you. They balance each other Autumn Leaves The perfect autumn aperitif, with complex and deep flavours of honey, whisky, grapefruit and grapes. Boulevardier The boulevardier is an alcoholic drink composed of whisky, sweet vermouth, and Campari. Its creation is ascribed to Erskine Gwynne, an American-born writer who founded a monthly magazine in Paris called Boulevardier, which appeared from 1927 to

3 CHAMPAGNE COCKTAILS /Glass Poinsettia A holiday favourite, the Poinsettia cocktail has been a crowd pleaser for many years with wintery flavours of cranberry and orange peel. Bellini The Bellini was invented sometime between 1934 and 1948 by Giuseppe Cipriani, founder of Harry s Bar in Venice, Italy. He named the drink the Bellini because its unique colour reminded him of the toga of a saint in a painting by 15th-century Venetian artist Giovanni Bellini. The drink started as a seasonal specialty at Harry s Bar, a favourite haunt of Ernest Hemingway, Sinclair Lewis and Orson Welles. Later, it also became popular at the bar s New York counterpart. Mimosa The mimosa s creation took a time-honoured breakfast juice, elevated it by several notches and made it an adult-only beverage. What s not to love? The famous cocktail was named a Mimosa because its soft orange colour is reminiscent of the foliage found on Acacia dealbata, also referred to as a Mimosa plant. Vavavoom A sophisticated champagne aperitif with refreshing citrus flavours, it kicks up the champagne aperitif to a whole new level. 3

Seductively tawny in colour, and festively festooned with fruit and sprigs of mint, it s a drink inextricably connected with the great British summer. The Original Hurricane A very simple, but packed with flavour, summer drink. Originally from New Orleans, this classic has only three ingredients to it, but the result is refreshing and exotic, fit for a long summer day. Tom Collins The Tom Collins is a refreshing gin sour that is an excellent sipper for any time of day and on any occasion. It is one of the best everyday cocktails and is a popular way to enjoy your gin in an easy, tall drink. Mea Culpa A refreshing sweet and sour gin based long drink, this vibrant cocktail is a must for gin lovers. Singapore Sling This tropical gin drink will send you on a trip to the Orient. The Singapore Sling has enjoyed a long and celebrated lifespan, having been created at Raffles Hotel in Singapore around the turn of the 20th century. Many claim that no two Slings are made the same way, but the smooth, fruity and herbal qualities in the recipe below are sure to satisfy. 4

Strong yet refined, it stands out as an after dinner digestive Black Russian Ironically, this cocktail has been created in honour of a US Ambassador. A short drink that s meant to be enjoyed slowly, it blends the smoothness of coffee liqueur with the kick of vodka. Daiquiri The Rum Daiquiri is a nearly perfect cocktail. It is simple, elegant, and as refreshing a summer drink as one could ask for. It resides along with the Martini, the Manhattan, and a select handful of others in the pantheon of drinks that perfectly reflect the spirit and character of their base liquors without introducing needless complexity or requiring excessive preparation. Cosmopolitain Belonging to the entire world; polished; sophisticated; worldly, all embracing. We could also add to that description versatile and limitless, The Cosmo is the quintessential pick me up drink. 5

6 CLASSICS /Glass /Jug French Martini The French Martini was invented in the 1980s at one of Keith McNally s New York City bars. It stands out as being a fresh and fruity elegant drink. Mojito Its combination of sweetness, refreshing citrus, and mint flavours is intended to complement the potent kick of the rum, and has made this clear highball a popular summer drink. Caipirinha The Brazilian national drink, this cocktail is a long distant cousin of the daiquiri, a very refreshing and sour short drink. 6
