1 International week 4-8/ Jutarums preschool

2 International week at Jutarums preschool in Halmstad. As a part of our comeniusproject We all smile in the same language all countries arrange an international week as a final activity. Our international week contained activities, food and cultur from our seven partnercountries. All four departures at the preschool were responsible for planning one day and give the other departures assignments to follow out. The children were involved in the preparations making passports, flags and planning activities. Our chefs served food from the countries all week, breakfast, lunch and snacks. As an activity to focus on cooperation during the week, we arranged a football tournament in the afternoons. The teams were put together by mixing children from the four departments and representing all eight partners in our project. We ended our week with a celebration and parade where families and other persons were invited to take part. We had a great week with many memories and experiences!!

3 Preparations before our international week

4 ITALY 4/5-15 BREAKFAST: Ciabatta, mortadella, parma ham, salami, grapes, melon LUNCH: Italian meetballs in tomatoesauce, served with spaghetti. SNACK: Pizzaslice Margherita

5 We start our days together outdoors to get introduced to the activities for the day. Making pasta garlands together using red, green and white pasta.

6 Experimenting with water and color we got the inspiration during our visit to Italy. Painting red, green and white- Italian colors! It is important to get a stamp in your passport as a proof of visiting the countries!

7 We are listening to Italian music and expressing ourselves dancing!

8 ICELAND 5/5-15 BREAKFAST: Skyr, lavabread, butter and cheese LUNCH: Plokkfiskur SNACKS: Icelantic pancakes blueberryjam and whipped cream

9 We got visitors! Four teachers from another preschool showed us a theater of a traditional story from Iceland -Gilitrutt! They have been part of a Nordplus - project focusing on sagas. It was very exciting and fun!

10 We experienced a vulcano eruption and Created beautiful art!

11 Constructing our own vulcano and finaly it erupted! Exciting!

12 Waiting with our passports to get a taste of Iceland! Black crackers, lavasalt and dried fish.

13 SPAIN PORTUGAL 6/5-15 BREAKFAST: Bread, homemade cheese, juice and fruit LUNCH: Paella SNACK: Tapas

14 Gathered together to open our Spain-/Portugal day!!! Making maraccas out of empty toiletpaper rolls we will use them in our parade!

17 ENGLAND 7/5-15 BREAKFAST: Scrambled egg and bacon LUNCH: Fish & Chips SNACKS: Afternoon tea

18 We tried games from England and had a great time!!

19 We gathered together to sing songs in English. And we are really good at it!!

20 We painted beautiful pictures from well known views in London.

21 GREECE CYPRUS 8/5-15 BREAKFAST: Greek youghurt, berries, honey and bread LUNCH: Moussaka SNACK: Greek buffet tzatziki, olives, bread and a lot more..

22 Hermes came himself and introduced the activities for our last day of the international week!! Olympic games!

23 Shot put was fun!

24 Long jump is fun but a little difficult and you have to wait for your turn and cheer the others!!

25 We all took part in the Jutarum Marathon from the youngest 1- year olds to the teachers!

26 Our football Tournament was a great experience with supporters, many goals and all our eight nations represented. We played in sun and rain having a wonderful time together!

27 On Friday afternoon we invited families and other interested to take part in our final celebration. Hermes was leading the parade!

28 Our national football teams all got smile-medals for their part in the tournament. And balloons for the supporters! We are so happy welcoming all our guests sharing our celebration! We were about 200 persons at the preschool!

29 All visitors, children and teachers were invited to a Greek buffet that was made by our excellent chefs! It was delicious!
