Each December, the international racing world focuses its energies on achieving greatness at the Longines International Raceday at Shatin. Join us to take in all the atmosphere and glamour that Hong Kong can offer during this must see racing event. Our tour group will be based at the classy Royal Garden, Kowloon. This property is located ideally along Mody Road and is a short stroll to Victoria Harbour and the busy shopping district along Nathan Road. This exclusive tour is always very popular. Grant Morgan Tour Host, Ontrack Racing Tours TOUR HOSTS & CO-ORDINATORS GRANT MORGAN (Tour Host, Ontrack Racing Tours) Grant is one of Australia s bright young racing professionals. The Managing Director of Ontrack Thoroughbreds, Grant has held a number of prominent roles within the racing and breeding industry as a bloodstock agent, marketing manager, business manager and racing manager. Grant has been hosting popular racing and breeding tour groups since JENNIE BARTELS (Tour Consultant, Ontrack Racing Tours) Jennie is also the co-founder of the successful organisation, Women In Racing, Inc, Australia. This consists of a vibrant group of women who are passionate about all things racing. Jennie works closely with their chosen charity, Griffith University Equine Influenza Research Department and she also established Racing Welfare. Jennie is a regular face at most major racing carnivals throughout Australia, whilst she is widely travelled to all racing destinations throughout the world thanks to her career in the airline industry. JENNY MORGAN (Director, Accounts & Admin Ontrack Racing Tours) Jenny is the administrative backbone of the business handling administration and accounts for Ontrack Thoroughbreds from the companies offices at Bundall. Before co-founding Ontrack Thoroughbreds with Grant, Jenny had extensive work experience in the Superannuation and Life Insurance industries after completing a Bachelor of Arts. BRIAN LAWLOR (Sales Consultant, Ontrack Racing Tours) Brian Lawlor is widely experienced in the New Zealand racing industry and now resides on the Gold Coast. Brian s racing resume includes roles with Radio New Zealand, New Zealand Truth and the Wellington Jockey Club. He was also extensively involved in New Zealand Central Districts clubs in various positions. Holding a lifelong passion for racing and breeding, Brian has been working with Ontrack Thoroughbreds since Travel agent and event management services for this tour are provided by ALLURE TRAVEL. It attracts the finest trainers and jockeys throughout the world who compete in one of the toughest racing stages. Our tour takes in racing at both HAPPY VALLEY and SHA TIN. Our group will be accommodated in luxurious private suites at both courses thanks to Longines. These prime locations make sure you have some of the best seats in the house to take in all that racing in Hong Kong has to offer. SHA TIN LONGINES INTERNATIONAL RACES With four Group 1 races on the card, the International Raceday at Sha Tin boasts prizemoney of over HK$62 million. The world s best gallopers compete on the card which also boasts the best trainers and jockeys throughout the world. Australia is represented each year, with many expatriate Australians now based in Hong Kong to provide us with further representation. HAPPY VALLEY INTERNATIONAL JOCKEY S CHALLENGE In the lead up to the International Races, Happy Valley plays host to the popular International Jockeys Challenge. The Happy Valley track is particularly picturesque, with the night racing atmosphere electric. Only the top international riders are invited to compete at this meeting. See jockeys like Joao Moreira, Douglas Whyte, Olivier Deluze, Brett Prebble and Zac Purton in action.

Last year (2012), it has been redesigned to recreate the unique features of a French patisserie, with elegant French décor and warm timber ceiling beams to create a cozy ambience. It offers a full range of delicacies and an extensive selection of liquors and fine wines. It is a great place to shop for souvenirs.
