The eye is surrounded by a dark purple mascara band that streaks inward. The pattern eye is mimicked on the sepals and continues as a double purple and violet picotee around the petal edges. In a sea of lavenders, these stand out by their regal presence and they rarely hang. Tet The simple description of Stardust Memories would be that it is a lavender pink with a gold watermark, green throat and a huge ruffled gold edge. There are several special things about this flower. Of course, like most of Petit s flowers, it is large with a looping ruffled gold edge that goes almost to the midrib. It also has a heavy, waxy substance that makes the flower always look fresh. The watermark is a fascinating gold color with a tangerine overlay which matches and compliments the wide gold edge. While difficult to explain, the tangerine gold watermark, and its balance with the petal self and edge is fascinating and wonderful. 22
