2 Grapest 5K Run Langhorne Creek We ve put together this Essential Event Information to ensure you are ready for a GRAPE day out! Take 5, grab a White, Red or a boutique Beer and read it through, it will help you have a great day. Due to the nature of the Grapest 5K Run, changes to the course, structure and timings sometimes need to be made right up to the date of the event. This is usually due to weather, however we make every effort to minimise the impact. Grapest 5K Run reserves the right to be able to change any information found in this booklet up until the start of the event. In order to stay up to date with all information please follow Grapest 5k Run on Facebook and turn on notifications. Key reminders: Bag drop is self-service, undercover and unsecured. Valuables that fit into an envelope are left for free in our staffed registration area. (You will need to provide the envelope with your name clearly marked on it. Leave your valuables at your own risk). Have your photo ID and disclaimer/waiver ready on arrival. This will speed up registration. Please arrive early to avoid line-ups at the registration area. There are no sheltered areas - come prepared for RAIN or SHINE Bring your happy face and prepare to party It will be dark when you leave the event, so it would be a good idea to bring a small torch or headlight to make your way back to your transport. If you have a medical condition that you think our first aid team should know about then please notify them at registration. Event Location The Langhorne Creek event is located at Lake Breeze Wines, 319 Step Road, Langhorne Creek SA A 30-minute drive from Murray Bridge or approximately 1 hour from the heart of Adelaide. When you arrive on site, just look for the registration flags near the cellar door.

3 What can I bring to the event? Deck/camping chair & rug for the General Admission area. (Please be considerate of your chairs for those sitting around you.) Sealed plastic bottled water and sports drinks up to 1.5L in size. Cash Merchandise, Parking and other payments are CASH ONLY. We cannot guarantee the availability of EFTPOS. Grapest 5K Run events are in wineries with grassy, gravel and dirt paths and roads which can be sloped, uneven and slippery when wet. Wear sensible footwear for the Run/Walk and possibly gumboots for wet weather at the after party. There are no sheltered areas - come prepared for RAIN or SHINE Plastic cups (for drinking lots of wine) Esky with ice only (these will be checked on entry) A towel and change of clothes could be helpful (check local weather guides). If it s raining the show will go on, unless there is a severe weather event or it is deemed too dangerous to continue For sunny days make sure you wear a wide brimmed hat or cap for protection and bring plenty of sunscreen with you. Bring your happy face and prepare to party

4 What can t I bring to the event? All alcohol The Grapest 5K Run is a licensed event and alcohol will be available for purchase. Non-alcoholic drinks including juice and soft drinks. Metal cutlery, including cheese knives. Umbrellas, even if it s raining. Bring good quality raincoats and gumboots instead. Glass - this includes wine glasses, jars, or any other containers or items made of glass. Participants of the 5km, 10km & wine waddle will receive a plastic wine glass. Pets (other than guide dogs). There will be a security check at the gate and prohibited items will be confiscated. Centaur Outdoor Events does not take any responsibility for confiscated items. What will be available at the event? Food and wine for purchase. 2 x 75-minute live entertainment sets. Social Media photo area (we will be running competitions on the day through social media so join in for the chance to win, and make sure you like us on Facebook and Instagram) DJ music Lots of prize giveaways

5 Start Time On race day, you will be given a coloured wristband which indicates your ticket purchase for the 5km, 10km, Wine Waddle or the Gig only. The Langhorne Creek run starts at 5pm (no exceptions) with registration closing at 4.30pm so aim to arrive at no later than 3:30 don t leave it too late to get to the start line, it may be a short walk away!! Wristbands & headbands MUST be worn at ALL times and not removed until after the event. If you do not have a wristband on you will be asked for proof of entry and removed from the venue if you cannot provide this. Wristbands which are removed or tampered with will be rendered invalid and will not be replaced. If you re too late to register you will not be allowed to race. Registration Procedure Registration will be open from 3:30pm on Saturday the 18 th November at Lake Breeze Wines. Registration will close 30 minutes before the start of the race. Having your photo ID and disclaimer/waiver ready on arrival will speed up registration. Tickets may be purchased on the day but will be limited (cash only)

6 On the Day By entering this event you agreed that you have entered in your own name (not nickname) and will bring photographic ID to event Registration to prove your identity. If you cannot prove your identity at that time, then you won t be able to complete race registration and therefore won t be able to race. You also agree that in such cases, no refunds will be given or transfers to future events offered. Each person who takes part in the event Must register in person and be in possession of some form of Photo ID and must sign the disclaimer/waiver sheet. Before you register, you will need to complete and sign a disclaimer/waiver. These will be available inside the Registration Area or you can download it to save time. Then come to the desk within the Registration Area. Live Roads During the event you may be crossing roads which will be live with traffic. We carefully manage these points using staffing and signage but rely on you to work with us. The marshals are there to guide you but ultimately you must decide if it is safe to cross. Parking We highly recommend car-pooling. We will have volunteer parking attendants on-hand to assist and direct you. Parking is at the vehicle owner s risk. Parking outside of the venue on surrounding roads and/or land is NOT PERMITTED at any time. Vehicles will be towed away at your expense. In the event of wet weather, the parking areas will remain available, however you will be responsible for getting your vehicle out of the parking area, or the cost of transport to and from the venue should you choose not to bring your vehicle.

7 Safety Matters Consider the kit you bring and wear bring comfy clothes and footwear and don t forget to slip, slop, slap. There is a water station at the finish line, but please do not solely rely on this if you think you will take a while to complete the course (bring your own drink bottle). It will be dark when you leave the event, so please bring a small torch or headlight. Wine Walk At the beginning of the wine tasting section you will receive your wine cup and lanyard as well as an A5 sheet of the wine varieties you will be tasting. These wines will be available for purchase at the cellar door should you wish to enjoy more. Finish Line Once you ve run or walked your 5km, 10km or wine waddle, you will be able to collect your Grapest 5k Run Sip happens custom medal. Share Please make sure you Like the Grapest 5k Run Facebook and Instagram page before the race day so you can share your photos and all your fun with your friends. We will also be holding competitions on these platforms throughout the day. So, join in for your chance to win! Bags & Valuables We strongly advise you to bring as little valuables as possible. Grapest 5k Run and Centaur Outdoor Events cannot be held responsible for any property you bring to the event. (Leave your valuables at your own risk). Valuables Storage Valuables that fit into an envelope can be left for free in our staffed registration area. You will need to provide the envelope with your name clearly marked on it. Drop your important stuff in the envelope (don t forgot to turn off your phone). This is a complementary service. (All care is taken, but you leave your valuables at your own risk). After Party After your run, kick back and enjoy the Sip Happens After-Party with the best produce and wine from the Langhorne Creek Wine Region.

8 EFTPOS EFTPOS CANNOT be guaranteed for any purchases. For merchandise, parking and other payments, it is CASH ONLY. Please bring enough cash for purchasing food, merchandise and parking. Emergencies In the event of a partial or full evacuation the following will occur: 1. Event team will be notified of the need to commence evacuation procedures 2. Staff will communicate with participants the need to commence the evacuation plan and direct participants to the designated emergency assembly point and wait for further guidance by staff and/or emergency personnel. Behaviour Management reserves the right to refuse admission or to eject a ticket holder for behaviour likely to cause damage, injury, nuisance or annoyance or for failure to comply with reasonable requests. Intoxication, aggressive or anti-social behaviour is unacceptable and will result in ejection from the Venue. Those ejected from the Venue will not be re-admitted to the Event and tickets will not be refunded. First Aid There will be St Johns Ambulance personnel in attendance. Should you or anybody else require assistance please tell a Marshall, Event Personal or seek out the First Aid area.
