2 Traditional Home Made Gelato Let Us Transform Your Display This Summer!! Established in 1931, in the south-east coastal town of Herne Bay, Kent, the Italian art of making gelato has been passed down through the generations from father to son. Our gelato is hand made using only the finest ingredients (predominantly imported from Italy) giving us a truly authentic product. What Is Gelato? Gelato is the Italian word for Ice Cream, however it has 3 major differences: Firstly, the fat content is considerably less than normal ice Cream making it healthier. Secondly, The Quality of our Gelato is much more superior to normal ice cream. It has a much higher density, this is because ice cream is produced by mixing milk, cream and sugar whilst adding air. Manufactures add air because it nearly doubles the quantity of their product, However its cuts the quality! Very little air is added to our Gelato and as a result we have created a much higher quality, flavour intensive product. Thirdly, Gelato can be stored and served at a warmer temperature than ice cream, therefore giving it a very smooth and creamy texture.

We can deliver to your door. There will be a minimum order depending on how far away you are OR if you want less than the minimum order this can be arranged by adding an extra charge per tub. The goods must be checked on arrival and signed for, as we are not responsible for any loss, damage or deterioration occurred after the delivery has been made. Payment Strictly Cash on delivery. Goods will not be left without FULL PAYMENT. Availability Because our gelato is made fresh to order and we focus very highly on the quality of our product, there are certain flavours that are seasonal. Therefore we cannot guarantee full availability on all our flavours all year round. We will inform you and perhaps even offer you a seasonal alternative. Returns & Complaints Please check your delivery thoroughly upon arrival as food items can not be returned or exchanged. It is the responsibility of our customers to store and rotate your products according to the shelf life and correct storage conditions. Makcaris can not be held responsible for damage caused by inadequate storage and rotation at the customers premises. VAT VAT at 20% will be added on all applicable products.
