1 INTRODUCTIONN Hello Breezers, Well here it is at last, after more than a year of hard planning we are just about ready to party together under the sun at Summer Breeze. You can look forward to 8 daytime pool and beach parties, first rate night time events with sets from some of the finest Soul, R&B and Soulful House DJ s providing us with a genuinely soulful vibe throughout the week. The response this year has again been nothing short of amazing. A big thank you goes out to every one of you for your belief and as always we will do our very best to give you the Soul holiday dreams are made of. We ve put together this information document to help make your Summer Breeze experience as relaxed and enjoyable as possible, many of you for the first time. 2 USEFUL INFO Currency: Euro Dial Code: 0030 Time Zone: +2hrs Average Temp: 27 c Emergency: 100 AIRPORT INFO Corfu International Airport, Ioannis Kapodistrias Is situated to the south of the capital, Kerkyra and serves both scheduled and charter flights from European cities. TRANSPORT Getting around Corfu is fairly easy. There is an inexpensive and highly efficient bus service, KTEL Green Buses, servicing most destinations on the island on a daily basis. The local bus stop is located opposite the Fountain Bar which can be found on our street map. Taxis can be easily hailed in the street or booked in advance by asking your hotel. TRAVEL/HEALTH Medical facilities in Greece vary: Those in major cities are excellent but many of the islands are some distance from a main hospital. 3 AIRPORT TRANSFERS Please make sure you have pre booked as Summer Breeze do not arrange these. However we do have some suggestions of companies that you can book with by clicking the links on the travel page of our website. These companies will provide shuttles or coaches. WRISTBAND COLLECTION You will have had your booking confirmation ed to you, make sure you print this off and bring it with you. Wristbands can be collected from the Summer Breeze rep who meets you on arrival at the resort. BOAT PARTY & BEACH BBQ As most of you know the Boat Party & Beach BBQ both sold out in record time! However if you would like to be put on a cancellation waiting list simply complete the Boat Party booking form on our website. Payment is made locally in Corfu at the welcome meeting which is held before the opening pool party, or by visiting the office. Here you will be able to make your payment, collect your ticket and secure your place on this year s Boat Party! The Boat Party departs from the jetty at 10.30am, for the sandy beach at Kalamas on mainland Greece, where there will be a freshly cooked BBQ. We then set sail to the world famous Blue Lagoon for some swimming and Champagne diving into the crystal clear blue waters of the Ionian. Then it is off to visit the Greek caves while you party ono the boat to the soulful vibes of the Summer Breeze DJ s. After a sun drenched day of partying, drinking and catching some sun out at sea we return back to the resort at around The on-board bar is open all day for the purchase of beers, spirits, cocktails, soft drinks and bar snacks.

4 FINDING YOUR WAY AROUND KOKINIA RESORT Getting around locally: Konkinia is a relatively small fishing village adjacent to Pantatika in the Province of Kavos. You are unlikely to be more than a short walk or around 5 to 10 minutes from all amenties, the beach and events. Taxi s and a local, reliable and cheap bus service are readily available if you require them. The bus service time table can be found at the bus stop outside The Fountain Bar. A visit to the local town of Lefkimmi is well worth a trip. The town has a number of cafes and places to eat situated along the canal and some excellent local bars for a relaxing drink, although mainly the town is geared towards local living and not tourism. Lefkimmi has some lovely architecture, picturesque squares and some beautiful churches worth visiting. CURRENCY & CASHPOINTS Local currency is the Euro: Fortunately for us Corfu is reasonably cheap compared to many other European destinations. ATMS s & Banks: There is an ATM outside the gift shop opposite The Oven Pub pizzeria and one outside Naos travel. There are several others that can be found around the resort. There are no banks in Kokinia or neighbouring Kavos. You can change money in most of the local travel agents.

5 MORE USEFUL INFORMATION WHAT IF I M ILL OR NEED MEDICAL ATTENTION? First aid trained staff are available onsite and a first aid box is available at the Summer Breeze office and at the event venues. There is a local surgery that has a reciprocal arrangement for UK passport holders with an E/HIC card. The surgery location is shown on our website map. Please be careful not to use one of the popup medical service offices in the village. Chandris and other supermarket stock a variety of over the counter pain killers, medicines and ointments. There is no chemist in Kokinia or the neighbouring Kavos. If needed a chemist can be found in Lefkimmi which is approximately 5km from the event site. WE ADVISE ON OUR WEBSITE AND IT IS A CONDITION OF YOUR BOOKING TO HAVE A FULLY COMPREHENSIVE TRAVEL INSURANCE PACKAGE. NO LIABILITY WILL BE ACCEPTED BY SUMMER BREEZE FOR ANY CUSTOMERS TRAVELLING WITHOUT INSURANCE. What if I lose my wristband? We can t replace wristbands and we do not have additional wristbands available. Please be careful! If I have a problem with my onsite accommodation, who do I talk to? All queries can be dealt with by talking with reception or your Summer Breeze rep. Is there Wi-Fi? There is free Wi-Fi in most hotels and accommodation. We have a list of Wi-Fi passwords available at the office. I ve lost my phone, wallet, passport, what do I do? Please contact the local police, not only because of the importance and value, you may need a police report for Insurance purposes.

6 ON SITE FACILITIES The accommodation at Summer Breeze is in an excellent location and is rarely more than a short distance from the beach. The pleasant apartments and studios are well equipped with all the amenities you would expect of a complex of its class. The self-catering option s amenities include a kitchenette with cooking facilities, fridge and kettle. The accommodation offers safety deposit boxes and air conditioning (paid locally). The hotel offers half and full board options. Stavros Beach Hotel, the venue for our daily pool parties has excellent facilities including a beach side pool, a large sun terrace, bars, a snack bar serving light snacks and cooling refreshments and Likourgos a beach side restaurant. Bamboo, where we host our Thursday night Black & White Party and Fridays Love Train! 70 s themed fancy dress is a renowned open air beachside venue that has been a regular stop on the Circuit for some of the biggest DJ s and artists for many years. All our venues have well stocked bars, great facilities and warm, friendly and welcoming staff; a wellknown attribute of the local people.

7 A GUIDE TO THE RESORT You may have researched Kokinia or simply asked someone who has already attended Summer Breeze what s there is to do outside the events and parties. So we have put together a guide for you when you re not off dancing to your favourite DJ. Corfu has much more to explore outside of what s on your wristband. PLACES TO ESCAPE/RELAX Home.and that s exactly what it looks like form the outside, somebody s home with tables and chairs set out on its patio. Great for early morning coffee or late night drinks, while enjoying a great selection of Jazz inspired Soul. FOUNTAIN You can t miss this bar as it has a great big fountain outside, hence the name. You can lounge on the chairs in the bars terrace throughout the day into the early hours while indulging in craft cocktails, cold draught beers, milkshakes and a range of ice cream, snacks and coffee s. SWEET HOUSE Panos and the team at Sweet House have been delighting clientele with his savoury and sweet crepes, pastries and pies for many years. This season they are adding to the already busy menu a range of affordable gourmet burgers and a choice of fresh pasta dishes. LIKOURGOS You ll notice that Likourgos is right next door to the daily pool parties. What you should also know is that by night this family run restaurant services great local dishes and world cuisine al fresco in the tranquil settings. Located on one of the prettiest shorelines in Southern Corfu with a great view of mainland Greece. The locals use this restaurant a lot, a testament in itself.

8 EATING OUT There s plenty of great reasons to return every year and the music on offer is just one of them. Show your wristband when ordering, for discounts of up to 15%. FALCONERA Kokinia Beach, , Corfu, Greece Falconera is a beach side restaurant that has an identity of its own. The Majority of the produce is sourced from local farmers, while the fish is sourced daily. The restaurant offers a selection of fish dishes, Greek and international cuisine in its gardened terrace overlooking the beach with an outstanding view of mainland Greece. THE STEAK HOUSE Main Street, , Corfu, Greece Chinese cuisine with a tremendous range of flavours and styles cooked by chef, Mr.Wu, who works his magic seven nights a week at Kokinia s main Chinese restaurant. OVEN PUB Main Street, 490b 80, Corfu, Greece Pizziera that serves a range of Italian, Mediterranean, Greek dishes. Known locally for its oven wood fired pizza selection. TEX MEX Corner of Main Street, , Corfu, Greece This Mexican restaurant has a fine selection of Mexican dishes and a grill menu of highly rated burgers, steaks and chicken. Even their nachos are insanely good. It may be one of the more expensive places to eat in town but we are told it s worth it!

9 MORE EATING OUT KONSTANTINA Konstantina Apts, , Corfu, Greece Fine dining with an excellent selection of local and world dishes including moussaka, souvlaki, stiffado and chicken dishes which are all great tasting. This hidden retreat serves food al fresco in a relaxing and tranquil setting. THRIFY BITES PULSE Main Street, Kokinia, , Corfu, Greece The menu might be obvious but if it s an unassuming low priced option you are looking for, this may be the place for you. Crepes with healthy fillings, fresh juices, breakfasts, burgers jacket potatoes, pasta dishes, pizza baguettes and pub favourites including steaks and chicken dishes are served all day long at this friendly well-kept café bar that transforms into a sports bar as the day continues. LATE NIGHT BITES LOLA S Main Street, Kokinia, , Corfu, Greece There are several places where you can eat late at night as you make your way back to your hotel, so the choice is yours. Lola s has been the meeting place for hungry staff these last few years. The gyros, souvlaki are a great way to fill up. We know it as Lola s though what the actual name is outside we are not sure of. It s always late at night when we follow the crowd there. All the bars and restaurants listed come recommended by visitors to Summer Breeze over the last four years. We listen and make notes. It s not a definitive selection of all that s on offer and there are a great many more restaurants and bars to be found, including some excellent tavernas on Main Street. The easiest option is to ask others that are returning this year or visit wherever takes your fancy.

10 KOKINIA~CORFU, GREECE The site map makes Kokinia look like quite a large area when in fact that isn t the case. The furthest anyone will need travel would be from the meeting point at Stavros Pool to the jetty for the Boat Party, a walk of around 8 mins. BUS STOP The bus stop is located opposite the Fountain Bar. A timetable is posted in the bus shelter. ATM One of several ATM s available on site is located opposite the pizzeria Oven Pub adjacent to the Gift Box.
