Imports of pigs and pigmeats are subject to a variable import levy. For certain products the levy will not go beyond the level of the bound duty. In addition, imports of pigs and pigmeats are subject to a sluicegate price system; a supple» mentary levy is imposed when import prices are abnormally low.
