4 CEREMONIES RELIGIOUS WEDDINGS Non-residents can be married according to Catholic rites in a Catholic church. You will need to obtain the Nihil Obstat from your local diocese, signed by your bishop, in order to be married in an Italian parish.your wedding planners can also arrange a celebrant for Protestant, Jewish or Orthodox rites to marry you in a sacred location.
