10 The Bernards Inn Wine Challenge Who s up to the challenge of being a master sommelier? In this custom team building first begin with a tutorial from sommelier, Terri Baldwin. You may choose to have prizes for those who successfully identify all ten aromas. Interactive Team Building Wine Receptions Create conversation, intrigue, excitement and interaction. Our Sommelier, Terri Baldwin will share her knowledge and passion with your group. Wine reception themes can be customized for your group, such as, wines that are good for the heart for cardiologists or wines you can count on for accounting firms. This wine adventure can be conducted as a reception only or we can incorporate some interactive wine related games for your group. Food & Wine Pairing Adventures: The Bernards Inn will present Food & Wine Pairing Adventures for your guests. The participants will discuss and demonstrate the secrets in selecting the perfect wines to complement the flavors of a meal. The experiences will be interactive. These can be conducted in a classroom setting, as part of a meal or as free flowing walk around experiences. As your guests enjoy any of these adventures they will develop the ability to taste the differences in wine and apply them to food pairing experiences.

11 The Original Wine Challenge (A Blind Tasting) The Bernards Inn will introduce your guests to the art of blind wine tasting by tasting two wines. The remaining wines will be tasted blind. The group is given clues to identify the wines. The theme of the tastings may vary. The group may be asked to identify the varietal, the appellation, the common or diverse flavor characteristics, the relative price of the wine, or any combination of these. 12 The Bernards Inn Confectionary Creation Put Attendee s Confectionary Creativity to the test! Let the Bernards Inn host your customized team building challenge. Participants will decorate a 6 cake round. Teams are ushered in to their individual stations. They are supplied with basic decorating tools. Ingredients include candy, icing, fondant shapes and inedible decorations customized to your distinct theme. Teams must decorate their cake according to a Surprise Theme selected by the Teams Manager who will participate in judging the winner. There is a 60 minute time limit. Cakes are then lined up in the ballroom for judging. Winners are determined by a panel of judges including our very own award winning pastry chef, Elizabeth Katz. Participants cakes are boxed and ready to take home as a souvenir!
