2 Executive Chef Dereyk D Costa With over 20 years experience, Chef D Costa s culinary career has taken him down a wide variety of roads. Starting with his culinary training at Elphinstone College Maharshtra-Dadar, Mumbai, India then on to his first hotel in India - the luxurious Hotel Oberoi Towers. He then worked in the cruise industry for Cunard Line, whose flagship Queen Mary 2 is renowned to be the most magnificent ocean liner ever built. From the UK, he then came to America as the Head Chef for Tandoor Indian Restaurant in Virginia. A few years after, Chef D Costa moved back to the hotel industry working for the Hyatt, other privately held hotels & finally Marriott International. For 3 years, he was Senior Sous Chef at the San Jose Marriott & Arcadia, a Michael Mina Modern American Steakhouse before his current Executive Chef position at the San Ramon Marriott.
