1 Maltese White Wine half Full Medina, Vermentino, Zibibbo DOK Delicata An aromatic wine with a delicate floral bouquet made from a skilful combination of two new exiting Malta grown grape varieties. This delightful dry, fruit packed, spicy wine is the result of an interesting blend of Vermentino & Zibibbo. Medina Girgentina, Chardonnay DOK delicata A skilful blend of the Malta grown noble grape, Chardonnay and the indigenous white grape Girgentina. The crispness and the fruitiness of the Girgentina complements the fullness and complexity of the Chardonnay perfectly to produce a refreshing dry white wine. Palatino, Sauvignon Blanc Camilleri Generous notes of exotic fruits and leeches greet the nose of this locally-grown Sauvignon Blanc with light grassy nuances. Its medium-bodied palate is elegant yet powerful, making this an ideal match with seafood and shellfish whilst providing excellent company on its own. Grand Vin de Hauteville, Viognier Delicata An elegant, full flavoured, white wine with good weight and intensity, made entirely from the Viognier grape variety. It has an aromatic, fruity aroma with soft spicy flavours on the palate and a pleasant long finish. Antonin Blanc, Chardonnay Marsovin, Gozo Full and round in the mouth, with complex aromas of sweet vanilla, toast, ripe pear and honey. The Chardonnay grapes are harvested from the Ramla Valley Estate in Gozo. A very complex nose with hints of fresh grass over a mineral base which gives the wine personality, and abundant fresh fruit such as citrus fruits, pineapple or melon. It leaves a fresh, aromatic taste in the mouth and has a clean, long finish. Gran Viña Sol Torres, Penedès Thanks to the presence of the Chardonnay, the wine is intensely aromatic and full-bodied, with a profusion of flowery notes over a fruity background (very ripe peaches) and a hint of fennel. On the palate the wine has a long after-taste and is silky with an elegant fullness. A touch of vanilla in the finish is indicative of the wine s short ageing in French oak. 5 South African White Wine Chenin Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc Two Oceans, Western Cape The crisp acidity of the Sauvignon blanc is rounded off by Chenin blanc. Together they create a fresh and fruity mingling of peach, guava, gooseberry and passion fruit. Chenin Blanc KWV, Stellenbosch Pale straw yellow colour. Grassy, white peach, pear and lemon aromas. Dry, medium bodied, with soft green apple and lemon flavours, good acidity through to finish. Australian White Wine Bin 777, Semillon, Sauvignon Blanc Wyndham Estate, Hunter Valley Pale straw colour with green hues. A bouquet of freshly cut grass with a distinct citrus character and hints of gooseberry. On the palate this Semillon adds a distinctive lemon-grass character which gives the palate a fresh, crisp acidity, while the Sauvignon Blanc creates softer, more subtle tropical fruits that linger. Made entirely from Maltese Sangiovese grapes, this medium bodied wine is packed with juicy ripe fruits that make it a good all rounder. Medina, Syrah Carignan Grenache DOK delicata A skilful blend of three complementary grape varieties. The fruity, robust concentration of the Syrah, the spiciness of the Grenache and the colour and aroma of the Carignan. Combined, they produce this easy drinking, soft, fruity red wine. These international grape varieties are grown in selected Maltese family run vineyards. Palatino, Tempranillo Camilleri This locally-grown Spanish variety has thrived remarkably well in Malta s terroir, offering aromas of strawberry syrup with elements of wild thyme. The palate shows a vibrant ripe strawberry character with undertones of plum sustained by soft tannins and a medium body. Complex fragrance with undertones of red-berry fruit. Polished, warm and dry on the palate. Nkantu Il Rosso, Nero d Avola, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon Principe Di Corleone, Sicily Intense ruby-red colour. Assertive fragrance with red-berry notes to the fore. Warm, polished and dry on the palate. Raimonda, Barbera D Alba Fontana Fredda, Piedmont The colour is deep ruby-red when young, it tends to garnet-red on ageing. It has a rather intense, characteristic nose which is flowery and fruity at the same time, with nice light overtones of wood, spices and vanilla. The flavour is full, persistent, nicely dry and velvety. The wine is already perfect to drink two years after the vintage. Valpolicella Classico Guerrieri Rizzardi, Veneto This wine has a complex nose, with notes of red and black cherries, spice and earth. This Valpolicella is dry, round and rich on the palate with a good structure. RS, Chianti Classico, DOCG Badia a Coltibuono, Tuscany Splendid aromas of cherries, red fruits and black pepper. Warm and reasonably soft on the palate with notes of forest berries and some spicy undertones. The impact is elegant and fresh with a generous after-taste. Sherazade, Nero d Avola IGP donnafugata, sicily Sherazade confirms its characteristics as young wine that s easy to drink; colour is ruby red in colour with violet glints. To the nose come scents of berries and cherries, with a balsamic touch. Tasting reveals whole fruit and very gentle tannins, with a pleasantly spicy finish. Suitable for those who dislike sturdy red wines. Barolo Marchesi di Barolo, Piedmont Garnet-red in colour with ruby shades. An intense perfume with clean scents of spices, vanilla, roasted hazelnuts, liquorices, cacao and wild rose. A full, elegant flavour, austere and good-bodied, with recurring olfactory sensations. Errazuriz, Merlot viña Valle de Aconcagua This wine is a vibrant cherry-red colour. On the nose it offers an interesting combination of black and red fruit and spiced notes such as pepper and cloves, and a hint of smoke. The palate offers moderate structure, with firm tannins predominating. Touches of toast and a fruity profile make for an elegant wine that retains its vibrancy thanks to its well-expressed acidity. Very ripe and dense, remarkably focused on flavour, offering solid blackberry and cherry flavours. At the end a lasting smoky yet rich blacktar. Muscat de Beaumes de Venise Georges Duboeuf, Burgundy, France 75cl This dessert wine is medium orange in colour, with pronounced aromas of roses, Turkish delight and lychees. The palate is sweet with honey and floral, medium acid, full body and a decent length. Tokaji Aszu 6 Puttonyos Baron Bornemisza, Tokaj, Hungary 50cl Light golden amber in colour. Spicy notes on the nose. There is an excellent balance of fruit and acidity, with dominant flavours of honey, combined with mineral and toasty characteristics, and touches of tea.
