2 Who is Harriet? Whilst Harriet looks back on many of the stories told by her Grandmother, Mary, with great fondness, much of her inspiration now comes from Mary s diaries which were inherited back in Stories of day trips, garden parties, special occasions and afternoons baking at home take Harriet back to a bye-gone era. Elegance and English charm with an attention for the small detail are characteristic of many of the lasting memories Harriet has of her Grandmother. Mary would speak so fondly of the Lyons Corner Houses, recalling many happy moments enjoying the spoils of a good lunch or fine afternoon tea. The experience would quite often be extended by purchasing fresh tea leaves and cakes for those indulgent moments at home. Along with Mary s diaries, Harriet now also takes inspiration from visits to Paris, London and Lisbon, with Angelina s a particular favourite destination. Discovering the engaging service, fine surroundings and interesting fare is always a delight. For many years, Harriet has had a desire to continue to develop the Harriets Brand, maintaining its independence and bringing new experiences to its valued customers. New Tearoom design icons have been introduced in recent years, first seen at London Street in Norwich in 2015 followed by Bury St Edmunds in The design was complimented with a Brand facelift in 2015 with the introduction of a new colour palette. Several product launches have followed including a perfectly blended 15th Anniversary Tea (Blend N o.2), beautifully crafted Macaroons (Harriets favourite) and a range of Preserves including the fragrant Blueberry & Lavender Jam inspired by the memory of Mary. Harriets business style is still firmly rooted in the family belief that quality can be affordable and that with an appreciation for the past and an eye on the present we can be proud to be...
