About the is an independent, family-run. We pride ourselves on the expert knowledge of our staff, the specialist plant nursery and our well respected and nationally known mail order hedging business.

His son, Richard, then moved the business to in the early 1970's and from these humble roots grew the business we are so proud of today.

My brother David and I are also partners and are enthusiastically committed to ensuring the continues to grow and flourish.

Two generations ago my grandfather, John Brown, turned his expertise and passion for alpines into an Alpine Nursery in London growing and selling his own plants. His son, Richard, then moved the business to in the early 1970's and from these humble roots grew the business we are so proud of today. My father Richard and mother Pauline are still very much involved in the Garden Centre and are always happy to share their vast knowledge and passion for all things green with their customers. At we aim to offer you our customers a unique shopping experience with our varied and high-quality product ranges which now include an ever expanding selection of locally sourced products like award winning wines, ales and other indulgent treats.
