10 dys preceding export. the best vetry surgeon's knowledge nd belief tht, during the 3 months immeditely preceding export, the nimls hve not suffered from ny the diseses listed below, hve been in ny premise frm on which these diseses hve not occurred, nor hd the horses otherwise been exposed to the risk infection with these diseses: equine infectious nemi, equine virl encephlomyelitis, rbies, scbies,nthrx, glnders, dourine, strngles, epizootic lymphngitis, ulcertive lymphngitis, equine rhinopneumonitis, equine virl rteritis, bbesiosis (piroplsmosis), Geth virus infection or ny other diseses equines notifible in the country; the nimls hve not been vccinted with ny vccine within one (1) month the dte shipment. Section IV. Government Certificte s Legl Entry Requirements Ech consignment milk or milk products shll be ccompnied by vetry helth certificte dted within thirty (30) dys import nd signed or endorsed by competent vetry ficer the Government ry Authority the country export. Additionl requirement for st cheeses: Certificte Anlysis (COA) All cheese mde from unpsteurized milk imported into must be ccompnied by Helth Certificte nd Certificte Anlysis (Listeri monocytogenes) All st/semi st cheeses mde from psteurized milk imported into must be ccompnied by Helth Certificte nd Certificte Anlysis (Listeri monocytogenes) Ech consignment dy-old chicks shll be ccompnied by vetry helth certificte dted within thirty (30) dys import nd signed or endorsed by competent vetry ficer the Government ry Authority the country export. The consignment nimls (horses) shll be ccompnied by vetry helth certificte issued by competent ry Officer the government vetry uthority the country export. 19 This report ws prepred by the Office url Affirs the USDA/Foreign url Service in Kul Lumpur, for U.S. exporters domestic food nd griurl products. While every possible cre ws tken in the preprtion this report, informtion provided my not be completely ccurte either becuse policies hve chnged since its preprtion, or becuse cler nd consistent informtion bout these policies ws unvilble. It is highly recommended tht U.S. exporters verify the full set import requirements with their foreign customers, who re normlly best equipped to reserch such mtters with locl uthorities, before ny goods re shipped. FINAL IMPORT APPROVAL OF ANY PRODUCT IS SUBJECT TO THE IMPORTING COUNTRY S RULES AND REGULATIONS AS INTERPRETED BY BORDER OFFICIALS AT THE TIME OF PRODUCT ENTRY. On December 14, notified the WTO on regultion relted to hll certifiction nd lbeling. According to this regultion, ll imported food from the U.S. intended to be consumed by Muslims must certified hll by one the JAKIM-pproved Islmic centers in the U.S. ( The regultion become effective Jnury 1, s hotel nd food service sector is incresingly demnding hll certified food. The hll certificte must ccompny the shipment nd the products must be lbeled with n pproved Islmic Center s hll logo on the pckging. All met nd livestock products (except pork) imported into must be certified hll nd the products must originte from slughterhouses which hve been inspected nd pproved by the Deprtment ry Services (DVS) nd religious uthorities (JAKIM Deprtment Islmic Development ). An Islmic Center pproved by JAKIM must supervise the slughter nd processing nd issue the hll certificte for met nd poultry. The Islmic Center must be listed by the pcking plnt on the originl JAKIM ppliction form or the ppliction must be ppropritely mended to mke use new Islmic Center. On July 1, 2011, DVS imposed n inspection requirement on pork bttoirs for ll exporting countries nd only pork products from pproved bttoirs cn be imported into. Helth certifictes ccompnying shipments must include n estblishment number plnt the DVS hs pproved. As the end 2011, DVS hd not yet pproved ny U.S. pork plnts. Due to the detection BSE in the United Sttes in 2003, DVS still bns on bovine proteins such s bone mel, met mel, bone mel, blood mel, ho mel nd horn mel nd other feeding stuffs (including pet food), premixes nd feed dditives contining the bove products.
