2 Horsted Place December 2018 W E L C O M E This lovely Victorian Country house is the perfect place to spend a restful few days at Christmas time. At Horsted Place we like our guests to feel at home and indeed many return each year to enjoy our recipe for a relaxing Christmas break fine food and wines, luxuriously comfortable rooms and a warm welcome. Horsted Place will be beautifully and traditionally decorated for Christmas throughout the month of December. Come and relax in our comfortable Drawing Room, in front of a log fire on a chilly day, and enjoy the festive atmosphere. From the beginning of the month we offer special festive menus for non-residents. Come with friends to enjoy lunch or afternoon tea in the best traditions of the season. Or perhaps gather for a dinner party in a private room. Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day For those who wish to enjoy all that Horsted Place has to offer and have the time to spare, staying with us for two or three nights is a wonderful way to spend the festive season. But for those who live more locally, why not dip into the party? Non-residents are invited to book for dinner on Christmas Eve, when the Ashdown Singers will entertain with carols during the Champagne reception which precedes a sumptuous four course menu. Perhaps Christmas Day lunch, five amazing courses also preceded by a Champagne Reception in the Drawing Room, could be an opportunity to abandon the kitchen and indulge. (see Page 7 for menu). Or, to round off the holiday on an upbeat note, why not book for Boxing Day lunch? There is no lunchtime à la carte menu on weekdays in December before Christmas. The festive lunch menu is also available for parties of between ten and twenty two guests in one of our elegant private rooms on weekdays only. Menus must be pre-chosen and advised in advance.
