Vascular Plant Species Checklist 2011 Compiled and published by John Durkin, BSBI er for County Durham Habitats Area Key species Access Facilities More information The SSSI area is a small valley mire with some peripheral soligenous mire. The wetland habitats are surrounded by areas of drier heath and other habitats. The Country Park has heath, some improved grassland, streams and conifer plantations. The reservoir shore has heath, a pond and inundation communities. SSSI 6.7 hectares. Round-leaved Sundew, sedges, cotton grasses, Narrow Buckler Fern, Bog Bean, Bog Asphodel, Lesser Skullcap, Marsh Cinquefoil, Marsh Pennywort, Water Purslane. Large car park at NZ The edge of the bog is easily accessible via a surfaced path. Consideration for fishermen etc is needed when on the reservoir shore area. Information boards.
