2 Our Business The Straits International Pte Ltd, founded in 2010, is a Singapore based supply chain manager specializing in agricultural and protein commodities. We originate and buy physical products from different continents and deliver them through our spectrum of services from logistics & transportation, hedging & risk management and financial services to meet different customer needs. Our focus is on animal feeds, flour milling, food, alcohol and oils & fats industries. Our diverse customer base allows us to provide good trade flow from origins to destinations. 5 Yellow Corn Yellow Corn: USA, India, South America, SE Asia Applications: Corn is largely used as a primary ingredient in animal feeds and in the industrial sectors, which includes the production of ethanol, sweeteners, and other consumer products. By-Products Distiller s Dried Grains with Soluble (DDGS): USA, Paraguay, Canada Applications: DDGS is well suited for dairy cattle, poultry and swine rations, offering a high level of protein, energy and fibre. Corn Gluten Feed: USA, China Applications: CGF is commonly used as a medium level protein and energy source. It is used in ruminant feeds, pet foods, poultry (replacement chicks, layer and breeder), turkey and swine. Corn Gluten Meal: USA, China, Ukraine, India Applications: CGM is a protein-rich feed, used as a source of protein, energy and pigments for livestock species including fish.
6 Wheat Wheat: USA, Argentina, India, Pakistan, Black Sea (Ukraine / Moldova / Russia), Australia Applications: Wheat is used for livestock feed and flour milling for food purpose. By-Products Wheat Flour: Taiwan, Ukraine, USA Applications: Wheat Flour is widely used in the commercial industry to produce animal feeds and food for human consumption. Wheat Bran Pellet and Meal: Taiwan, Ukraine, Moldova, Indonesia, USA Applications: Wheat Bran Pellet is suitable for livestock feeding and very palatable to most classes of animals. Wheat Midds: Taiwan, Ukraine, Moldova, Indonesia, USA Applications: Wheat Midds is a good source of protein, fibre, phosphorus, and other nutrients, it is used for food purpose, as well as fodder for livestock and pets. Wheat Starch: China Applications: Wheat Starch has many applications in food industries, non-food industries, a feedstock for the production of fuel grade ethanol and alcohol such as beer & whisky. It is also used in aquaculture.
7 Yellow Soybean Yellow Soybean: USA, Brazil, Argentina, Ukraine, Africa Continents Applications: Yellow Soybean is primarily crushed to make soybean oil and the by-product soybean meal is the main protein source in many animal diets for animal feed industries. It contains significant amount of phytic acid, dietary minerals and B vitamins. For food, soybean is used in wide range of products, for example soymilk, tofu and natto. By-Products Soybean Meal: USA, Brazil, India, China, Vietnam Applications: Soybean Meal is the major feed commodity and is the main protein source in many animal diets. Soybean Hull Pellet: USA, China, Taiwan Applications: Soybean Hulls Pellet is often reintroduced in the final oil meal in order to reduce its protein content, thus available and very valuable feeds for on-farm feeding of cattle. Soya Lecithin: USA, Argentina, China Applications: Soya Lecithin is used in many food applications and also used in the poultry, swine, cattle and fish feed.
8 Sorghum Sorghum: China, Ukraine, Moldova, Paraguay, USA, Australia Applications: The use of Sorghum ranges from feed grain for livestock to food for human consumption which includes milling, starch production, brewing and distilling. Color: Red, White, Yellow
9 Rapeseed & Canola Rapeseed: Ukraine, Moldova, Russia Applications: Rapeseed is mainly used for edible oil, biofuel, industrial oil and lubricants. Rapeseed is also a valuable energy feed for livestock due to their high protein and lipid content. By-Products Rapeseed/Canola Meal: Pakistan, India Applications: Rapeseed/Canola Meal is protein-rich ingredient that is widely used to feed all classes of livestock such as dairy cattle, beef cattle, swine and poultry rations. Rapeseed Oil: Ukraine, Moldova, India Applications: Rapeseed Oil is the main source of biofuel and as cooking oil.
10 Sunflower Seed Sunflower Seed: Ukraine, Moldova, Russia Applications: Sunflower Seed is known for its rich content of oil and fatty composition which is ideal for bird feed. It is also suitable to be used to produce cooking oil and confectionery products for human consumption. By-Products Sunflower Oil: Ukraine, Moldova, Russia Applications: Sunflower Oil is commonly used in food as frying oil, and in cosmetic formulations as an emollient. Sunflower Meal: Ukraine, Moldova, Russia Applications: Sunflower Meal is produced through the process of extraction is an excellent livestock feed.
11 Marine & Animal Proteins Fish Meal: Thailand, Argentina, Peru, Chile Applications: Fish Meal is a generic term for a nutrient-rich feed ingredient. It is primarily used in diet for pet food, feedstuffs for aquaculture and a high-quality organic fertilizer. Squid Liver Paste: China Applications: Squid Liver Paste is an essential feed for shrimp, aquatic creatures and livestock. Poultry By-product Meal: USA, Saudi Arabia, Europe Applications: Poultry By-product Meal is used as pet food, livestock and aquaculture industries. Blood Meal: USA, Europe Applications: Blood Meal contains mostly protein and is used to supplement diets based on cereal grains, plant by-products and forages. It has been shown to be a satisfactory replacement for other protein sources in various animal production diet for dairy cattle, beef cattle, sheep, swine, poultry and aquaculture industries. Hydrated Feather Meal: USA, Europe Applications: Hydrated Feather Meal is a by-product of broiler, turkey and poultry processing operations. It is one of the highest sources of non-synthetic nitrogen available and can be used for animal feeds and organic fertilizers. Meat and Bone Meal: USA, Europe, Australia, South Amercia Applications: Meat and Bone Meal is primarily used in the formulation of animal feeds to improve the amino acid profile of the feed, mainly used for pet food, livestock, and aquaculture industries.
