1 MENU STREET FOOD Indian food is defined by the delicacies available on the side of its streets with people seen standing around the RAIDIW ALAS (street food vendors) almost all hours of the day, enjoying the amazing food on offer. At ROTI PANI we have made a small effort to bring you a handful of selected street food items from north India. AMRITSARI PAPAD (POPPADUMS) TOKRI The holy city of Amritsar is the food capital of north India serving a range of snacks cooked using different lentils the Papad Tokri (Panjabi style assorted poppadums) made from black and green gram is one of the most popular. MASALA PAPAD Spiced poppadum garnished with onions, tomatoes, chillies and chaat masala. AMRITSARI KULCHA Amritsar s equivalent of Chole Bhature tandoor baked bread stuffed with spicy vegetables and served with chickpeas and raita. ALOO TIKKI CHAT Shallow fried spiced potatoes, crunchy with a soft centre served with chickpeas and tangy chutney. TANDOORI PANEER TIKKA Paneer (or farmers cheese) is a favourite source of protein of Panjabi farmers and when marinated with spices and cooked in tandoor with mixed peppers - it is a dish to savour. VEGETARIAN STARTERS ONION PALAK PAKORA A classic Panjabi Bhaji onions and spinach fried fritters. TANDOORI BROCCOLI Grilled spicy and cheesy broccoli, we even make broccoli taste great!
