5 Introduction The estate "Terrazze dell'etna" (Terraces on the Etna) stretches from 650 to 850 meters above sea level and is positioned inside the natural reserve of Etna Park. The company was created in 2008 by Nino Bevilacqua. an engineer from Palermo who has love and passion for his territory. Thanks to his passionate work he rediscovery and recovered the characteristic of a local agricultural environment and he purchased the small plots of land, he built the amphitheater of terraces on which the vines are being growntoday. "Terrazze dell'etna is characterized by terraced land, dry stone walls and millstones alternating with the enveloping embrace of vineyards with oak and chestnut treeswoods. Dry stone walls shape the land where the Nerello Mascalese, a historical local vineyard cultivation, Chardonnay and Pinot Nero are nourished by the strength of the land of Etna, the symbol of Sicily in the world.

6 The Territory Mons Gibel as the Arabs called Etna, or 'a Muntagna in Sicilian dialect, is the highest active volcano in Europe. With its 3343 meters Etna looks like a huge black cone, visible from a distance of 250 km. Its base is extremely fertile with crops of oranges, mandarins, lemons and olives, while the crops are dressing Etna in colours the flourishing up of hazelnuts, almonds, pistachios, chestnuts, oaks and pines are being growing. Because of this unique area was recognized as Natural Park (1987) and as the UNESCO World Heritage (2013). To the "integral reserve" where nature is queen in which human activities has allowed are added the careful respect of the landscape and the environment. Etna is an ancient site were you walk through the centuries shaped by human history and nature, it's a world were it goes to bringing along a fragment of lava, branch of broom... and always the imperious desire to return. 8 The Company The company Terrazze dell Etna is located in the north west area of the volcano, in the county of Randazzo (Catania). The project was born under the guidance of oenologist Riccardo Cotarella with a very clear objective: to obtain, through the ownership of 36 hectares, the

9 highest quality while respecting the territory. Particular care has been taken to maintain the original terraces performing a sort of "natural architecture", which allowed to rediscover the typical Mount Etna s landscape: the name of the company comes from the "terraces" on which vineyards have always been grown.

11 Our grapes and the production philosophy Refinement and excellence in all stages of the chain production are the distinctive character of Terrazze dell Etna : from the protection of the natural environment, to the recovery of centuriesold traditions of the territory coupled with the use of modern technology our wine, this springs up the strong personality tells of warmth and passion of Sicily. The harvest is being done by hand by women who gently cut the grapes from the vines: just for this reason the company logo is a stylized bunch of grapes. The very large grapes refer to the special care that will be dedicated to each of them to ensure a wine of extraordinary quality. The colours of the packaging are derived from the Etna landscape: the brown from the earth lava on which the vineyards are being grown, the red from the fire of the Etna and the white from the ashes.

12 The wines Cirneco Type: Red Etna D.O.C. Grape varieties: Nerello Mascalese in purity Warm and robust on the palate, bright ruby red colour and compact. In the mouth perfectly combines exuberance and harmony proves a splendid example of integrity and sweetness of the tannin, calibrated in an optimum freshness and flavour. Seductive and long persistence. The most perfect, elegant portrait of his homeland.

14 Cuvée Brut (Minimum of 36 month of fermentation) Rosé Brut (Minimum of 36 month of fermentation) Type: Sparkling Method Classic Traditional Grape varieties: 100% Chardonnay Straw yellow with strokes of green gold brush. Intense and well structured with a very fine pearls but persistent, offers sweet ripe tones and rich minerals. The foam is creamy, its freshness is assured of a long and successful flavour. Type: Sparkling Method Classic Traditional Grape varieties: 90% Pinot Noir and 10% Nerello Mascalese A distinctive Sparkling by its colour petal pink, a softly burst of freshness citrus. Elegant with its hint of wild strawberry and pomegranate with good body and a great long finish.

15 The origins of the sparkling process on the volcano date back to 1800 when these wines were called "Etna Champagne". Our wines have become the emblem of the Etna sparkling wine that is drinking Sicily at 800 meters above sea level.

16 Carusu ("boy" in Sicilian dialect) Cratere Type: Red Etna D.O.C. Grape varieties: 80% Nerello Mascalese 20% Nerello Cappuccio Intense ruby colour transparent and bright. In the mouth offers a very fresh and perfectly solid mineral with a whiff of licorice. A wine with an all round tannins and nice for a casual drink. Type: Red I.G.T. Sicily Grape varieties: 80% Nerello Mascalese 20% Petit Verdot Intense ruby colour with a reflection of violet. Nose of great maturity of black cherry, cured tobacco, cocoa powder and lava rock. The finish is long and well calibrated but very précised in the retro smell.

17 Ciuri ("flower" in Sicilian dialect) Rosato Type: White Wine Grape varieties: Nerello Mascalese vinified in white and varieties from the Etna Wine that comes from experimentation: red berry Nerello Mascalese offers a cool and vibrant white wine, with great sapid flavor and lovely tropical fruit notes and a pleasant mineral closure. Type: Etna Rosato D.O.C. Grape varieties: 100% Nerello Mascalese Sophisticated bright pink color with violet reflections, peach aroma with scents of balsam. Balanced structure, sapid and fresh taste. Extremely pleasant wine to drink cool.
