3 Objectives to develop a common plan for enabling better and faster research and technology applications to define priorities for action at European, national and international levels to design a strategy for grapevine genetic resources with special emphasis on the Caucasus region and other east European countries to define the minimal tolerable viruses and tests methods to adopt a methodology for identification of local varieties, based on modern ampelography and molecular genetics to define a strategy for utilization of local varieties to develop cryopreservation as an alternative method for genetic resources conservation higher utilization of genetic resources (diversity) and methods of their evaluation COST Action FA1003, Thessaloniki,, September 12-13, 13, 2011
