Normally a couple of rows within specific blocks get marked after a vineyard tasting has taken place with the relevant quality observation from a specific block having been made. This is never the same and changes every year. Only the best for the best.

If you have a sweeter tooth, a bittersweet chocolate soufflé will work briliantly. We have blocks from Blocks planted on different slopes with different clones and trellis systems. This creates different aspects within the block that if managed correctly with canopy, pruning, irrigation and tipping practices, contribute to our style of Pinotage wines. A mix of the best. Hand harvested, destalked, cold soaked overnight and fermented with special yeast with calculated maceration and pump-over methods. Removed off skins before dry and aged in new french barrels for 24 months. Different barrels used to enhance certain flavour and complexity.

Grapes harvested from very low yeilding trellised vines at 8 tons/ha. Handpicked early morning, delicately destalked and crushed. Yield: 8 tons per hectare: 3-5 years

18 Winemaker 2013 William Wilkinson Timmo Tinto Espresso Husk Spirit Timmo Tinto Husk Spirit is made in the traditional Grappa style from a recipe provided to the Estate by the late Luigi Galonese, which had been passed on through five generations of his family in Italy. Timmo Tinto is named after Tim Harlow, the late son of the owners of Wildekrans. Tim was a fun-loving, gregarious personality, known and loved for his great joi de vivre and impromptu parties. These are fun digestif spirits, easily complementing vanilla ice-cream, parched pears and espresso coffee. The Espresso blend, made with 24-hour cold-brewed ground Arabic coffee, is a delicious, balanced spirit, guaranteed to put your guests in a party mood. Slightly floral, with a touch of earthiness and fairly strong alcohol on the nose. On sipping slowly, it disperses, filling the mouth with a sweet volatile coffee flavour with a suggestion of caramel, creating a satisfying afterglow. It is the perfect way to end off a satisfying meal, or the ideal shooter to liven up a party. Alcohol 43%
