2 Weller from Moore's Hill. I noticed that all members were very quiet and taking in everything that Fiona talked about. I would like to thank Fraser Nuttall for choosing a great line up of engaging guest speakers - this is not an easy task. August is Membership Club and New Club Development Month. The District's numbers are slowly declining and I, like many others, would hate to see Rotary disappear. As a Club we are going strong and we would like to see more new members join us, as each person brings fresh new ideas which adds excitement. We are going to hold a Bring a Friend Night on the 18th of August. This night will be an informal finger food night where we can just mingle with other Rotarians and friends and hopefully time permitting invite Rotaract along. The Rotary Club of Hobart

3 have ran this program for a number of years and having the expertise a number of their members currently make up the committee. We require interested Rotarians from the North & North West to join the committee to gain some diversity. This is a wonderful program with many positive outcomes. Please contact District Youth Services chair, Gill Whitehouse or Committee Chair Sarah Kay of the Rotary Club of Hobart if you are interested. 7 Fiona's presentation included the story of how she and her wine-making husband, Julian, came to buy Moore's Hill nearly 8 years ago. They have developed a strong reputation for high quality wines and a wonderful cellar door experience. However, this comes with a huge amount of hard work all year round. Each season brings it's own challenges and there are many things to consider when making decisions about what you will end up with in the bottle. Their future includes a wine making facility on site and small group tours around the working winery - something not offered at many boutique wineries in Northern Tasmania. Next time you are driving that way, call in and see what they are achieving already. And meet Otto, the huge, super friendly, food-stealing dog.
