4 TASTE DESIGN Sensorik Tumbler 14 ½ oz SENSORIK: The glasses are developed by Sahm together with Markus Del Monego first German World Champion Sommelier. With the creation of the SENSORIK goblet and tumbler, glasses are available that provides neutral and consistent results that can be compared in the sensory evaluation of different beers. As a second step, this important information can be used to design new customised glasses, that suit the unique taste profile of a brand. TASTE DESIGN: The selection of the proper drinking glass is of decisive importance for a beer to be able to develop its own very individual taste. Whether it s a tankard, a tumbler or a goblet, a glass should always match the type of beer it holds. Sahm has a huge variety of different glassware to BENCHMARK: THE MEASURE OF GREAT TASTE! A benchmark offers a reliable index for comparing the flavor and the complex sensory properties of a beer. It can be used to define aroma, visual appeal and even the properties that characterize a beer s flavor, all of which are essential for shaping and designing the proper glass, and thus also for enjoying the final product. In addition, the beer is taste-tested by a number of experienced experts who summarize, interpret and then analyze their results. If necessary, corrections are made to this (first) benchmark to furhter improve the flavor. Only then are the sensory criteria carefully evaluated on the basis of their specific intensity and entered into the final benchmark. TASTE DESIGN enjoy a virtually unlimited range of beers. A benchmark is depicted using what is called a spider web that captures the elementary parameters making up a beer s flavor, such as sweetness, bitter or malty ingredients. SAHM COLOR COATING Sahm color coating is a plastic coat in which organic glazes are sprayed directly onto the glass and than printed over in up to several colors. SAHM GOLD RIM The brim of the glass can be decorated with high-quality precious metals: whether by machine or by hand, as a single or double rim. It s a world of possibilities. SAHM FROSTED DECOR By treating the glass in acidic immersion baths, the surface of the glass is lightly roughened. A matting effect is created in which decors appear more velvety. SAHM SPECIAL GOLD OR PLATINUM Glass decoration with valuable precious metals can ornament a company logo or the rim. Glazes with a proportion of genuine precious metals are used for this process
