1 What s new? Ice cream for every season Nestlé has added Café Latte to its Heaven Elegance ice cream range. The ice cream is aimed at all consumers looking for a convenient and delicious treat. The launch has been supported by promotions and consumer competitions. The ice cream retails for around R New packaging for iced tea Retail Brands InterAfrica has introduced two new pack sizes to its Lipton Ice Tea range in July: 1 litre and 200ml Tetra pack for its Peach, Lemon and Red (Rooibos) flavours. Apart from the lunchbox convenience factor, the new carton packs will hold greater appeal to consumers as they are more environmentally friendly, free from preservatives and have a 12-month shelf life. The launch is being supported by consumer advertising, POS activations and a sampling drive. The carton packs are shipped 4 x 6 x 200ml and 12 x 1I. See the advertisement on page 19. Relaunch of still water Maranguto Tradings has relaunched its Ice Blast Fitness Still Water to Gauteng. The still water is available in a sporty 500ml, 1.5l or 5l bottle with an eye catching bright blue label. Using a Reverse Osmosis (RO) system, the water is prepared with tds 20 and fluride 0.23 mg/litre. They are ideal for consumers looking for an on-thego snack treat or to take bulk packs home. Each donut weighs 9g and is packed 384 per case. Baker creativity with donut shells Rich s has also launched Donut Shells across the country. Donut Shells are traditionally used to create jam donuts, but bakers can now be innovative and top the shells with a variety of different fillings and toppings. The donut shells weigh 63g and are packed 96 per case. Health and diabeticfriendly treat Fore Good Group has increased the Canderel chocolate range to include Chocolate Coated Almonds in July. This gives health conscious and diabetic consumers more choice when deciding on an anytime treat. The 75g packs retail for around R26.99 and are packed 12 per shipper. The launch is supported by promotions and PR. Italian chocolate in SA Jeral Distributors has brought Italian confectionery to the South African market through the launch of Zanzibar Chocolate in June. The 300g bar has been launched in June and is shipped 18 bars per shipper. The expected retail sales price is R39.95 per bar. New sweet and savoury popcorn range Top of the Pop is Betech International s new and exciting range of microwave popcorn in a variety of traditional and new flavours. Flavours include: Salt, Extra Butter, Cheese, Hot Pepper, Cinnamon & Apple, Barbecue, Honey, and Choco & Caramel. Top of the Pop is suitable for vegetarians and is GMO free. Available since June, the single packs retail for R7.99 and the 3-packs have an expected retail sales price of R Tinned chicken for a convenient lunchtime snack Bull Brand Foods has launched a new product range into the market in July Gants Chunky Chicken as a healthy lunchtime meal and snack, conveniently packaged in a 210g pull tag tin. The chicken range comprises the following variants: Brine with Lemon, Spicy Apricot, Thai Sweet Chilli and Tangy Flavoured Mayonnaise. Convenient container for baby wipes Kimberly-Clark introduced the Huggies Pure Wipes Container in Disney designs as an everyday accessory for mothers.
