2 MISSION MELA E PIÚ PURPOSES ARE Mela e Più S.r.l. purposes are to promote the production and the consumption of local products, the richness of the territory and to spread the culture of taste in order to contribute to the defense of our local enogastronomic tradition. The presence on the territory of agricultural companies which manufacture high quality products, the typical agricultural products, will create beneficial effects on the maintenance of the territory. For this reason it has been necessary to think out and to promote a territorial Brand specifically created for the protection and the valorization of high quality agricultural and food products. This is why Mela e Più is the center of the future CE politics, both for the direct effects on the economic-productive system (development of the small agricultural, agricultural and food and handicraft enterprises that are the main sources of occupation and production of many rural zones yield), and for the indirect effects on the sociocultural system (for the role carried out in strengthening the identity and the local image).

3 OUR PRODUCTION AREA Mela e più S.r.l. wants to be worthy representative of Valle di Non which is a casket that jealously guards secular gastronomic traditions, where the earth, its products, and the ancient recipes have given life to a culinariy culture rich of typical and tasty specialties. Starting from apple, fruit whose cultivation is the main economic and social characteristic of Valle di Non, Mela e Più S.r.l. proposes two typical products: the strudel and the apple pie. The strudel, delicious and palatable sweet, which is virtue of our tradition, was born in Turkey (XVI century) with the name of Baclava. At first it spread in Hungary, then in other European countries, especially in the Alpine regions. During the years it has been slightly modified, in particular it has been added some typical ingredients as for example apples, which are nowadays the protagonists for preparing this simple, savoury and delicate sweet.

4 OUR PRODUCTION AREA Apple pie: prepared with butter short pastry garnished with in white wine stewed sliced apples and sultana raisins. Frosted with almond icing.
