5 Dear Parents, February 27, 2019 We invite you and your family to participate in the Catholic Relief Services Rice Bowl, a faith-in-action program for this Lenten season. The CRS Rice Bowl is sponsored by Catholic Relief Services, the official international humanitarian agency of the Catholic community in the United States. CRS is motivated by the example of Jesus Christ to assist poor and suffering people in more than 100 countries on the basis of need, without regard to race, religion or nationality. The Rice Bowls will be given out on Ash Wednesday, March 6. Your child will then bring their Rice Bowl offering during our all school Mass at the end of Lent. There are two ways to participate: Your child may fill their CRS Rice Bowl with coins and present it during our collection mass. You may write out a check to St Louis Catholic School, please write CRS Rice Bowl on the memo line, and place the check inside your child s Rice Bow to be turned in during our collection mass.
