5 General Rules fr Entering the Hme Gds Cntests 1. Entries must be submitted in accrdance with the rules fr each Department A1, A2, A3, B, and/r C. 2. ALL entries must be brught t the L. J. Myer Hme Gds Building at the Carline Cunty Agricultural Fair Grunds n Sunday, July 10, 2016, frm 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. Late entries will nt be accepted. 3. Entries are judged accrding t State Fair quality. If n entries are f State Fair quality, n prizes will be awarded. 4. Prize premiums are as fllws fr Department A and B entries: 1 st Prize Blue Ribbn $3 2 nd Prize Red Ribbn $2 3 rd Prize Yellw Ribbn $1 5. All entries are t remain n display thrughut the duratin f the Fair. Entries may be picked up n Sunday, July 17, frm 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. All prizes will be disbursed at that time. Rules: Department A1-A3 Garden, Farm, and Dried Fd Prducts 1. See General Rules fr entry deadlines, prize disbursements, etc. 2. OPEN TO ALL AGES. Please specify Adult, Yuth, r Senir (75+) n the entry frm. 3. Only ne entry in each categry is permitted. Tw r mre partners shall be entitled t ne entry per categry. 4. All Garden and Farm Prducts must be grwn by the specified exhibitr in the current calendar year. 5. Entries must be crrectly labeled, including the variety name, and be placed in substantial cntainers. 6. D nt use plastic bags fr Garden and Farm Prduct entries. 7. N Garden r Farm Prducts will be returned unless requested by the exhibitr at the time the entry is registered. 8. Entries requiring a specific quantity will be disqualified if that quantity is nt met. Rules: Department B Hmemaking, Handicrafts and Arts 1. See General Rules fr entry deadlines, prize disbursements, etc. 2. OPEN TO ALL AGES. Please specify Adult, Yuth, r Senir (75+) n the entry frm. 3. Only ne exhibit per exhibitr will be accepted in each categry. 1

6 4. Department fficials reserve the right t discard any spiled fd. 5. All canned gds must be in regulatin jars and must have been prcessed n r after August 1, Rings must be n jars. Rusty rings and/r lids are nt t be used. 6. All jars must be clean and nt sticky. Only clear, nn-clred, jars will be accepted. 7. All jars must be labeled with the date and cntents f the jar. 8. Fd clring and wax are nt t be used n Jellies, Jams r Preserves. 9. Bxed mixes are nt t be used fr cakes, frstings, ckies, candies, brwnies, any bread prducts, r pies. 10. Cakes must be presented n a sturdy white dispsable plate r n a fil-cvered cardbard and cvered with clear wrap. 11. Candy and Baked Gds entries must include 5 pieces each, and be presented n a sturdy white dispsable plate placed in a zip lck bag. 12. All Clthing entries must be accmpanied by a hanger. 13. Fr entries in the Phtgraphy categry: Phtgraphs must be 5 x 7 in size. Phtgraphs must be munted n white pster bard, with a minimum f a 1 brder. Framed phtgraphs will nt be accepted. All phts must have the negative r CD attached. N exceptins. Phtgraphs must be the exhibitr s wn wrk. 14. Prfessinals are nt allwed t exhibit.
