Prime-Ark Freedom 4'-6' July 'Prime-Ark Freedom' is a thornless primo-cane blackberry, flowering and fruiting on new canes the first season. Berries are large, firm and very sweet. Where the climate is suitable, it will bear again in the fall. Shows good disease resistance, heat and humidity tolerance. A good choice for the home garden Chill hours. Natchez 4'-6' Jun-Jul A high yielding, thornless blackberry with early season fruits that are large and sweet. This vigorous grower reaches 4 to 5 feet tall and 5 to 6 feet wide. Brazos 4'-6' May Brazos is an erect, thorned blackberry produced by Texas A&M. Its healthy canes produce high yields of large fruit. The acid-flavored fruit is recommended for cooking rather than eating fresh. Harvest in May. Baby Cakes 3'-4' July Baby Cakes is an exciting, new, thornless dwarf blackberry that presents a fireworks-like display of large, juicy berries in the summer! Citrus Kumquat Nagami 6'-8' Oct-Dec This small tree loads its dense branches with bright orange, delicate, tart tasting oval fruit, fall through midwinter. Lemon Improved Mey6'-8' Sep-Oct This superior variety can bloom and produce fruit several times a year. The fragrant white flowers, are followed by large, aromatic, orange-yellow lemons. The fruit is sweeter than other lemons and very juicy. Hardy to zone 9, this variety of lemon does well in containers. Calamondin 6'-8' Sep-Oct Produces large quantities of a 1 inch fruit that resembles a small tangerine. They are very acidic, but can be used in marinades and to flavor beverages. The compact trees have waxy green foliage and are a great container specimen. Satsuma Arctic Frost 6'-8' Oct-Nov Small, spreading, hardy Satsuma that is slightly more cold tolerant than other varieities, withstanding temperatures of 10 degrees F. May be grown in large container and can be brought indoors in colder climates. Juicy, nearly-seedless and easy-to-peel fruit ripens in winter. Lime Persian or Bear 6'-8' Oct-Dec Named after John T. Bearss, who developed this nearly thornless and seedless variety around The fruit is oval-shaped, about the same size as a lemon, with a vivid green peel which turns yellow when ripe. Not cold hardy in the North Central Texas area, grow in a container so they can be protected from cold temperatures. Grapefruit Oro Blanco8'-10' Sep-Nov Oro Blanco is a cross between a sweet pummelo and a very seedy white grapefruit. The pale yellow flesh is sweet and the fruit is seedless. When ripe the Oro Blanco has a golden yellow peel with a thick rind. Mandarin Clementine 8'-10' Oct-Feb An early season Mandarin producing sweet and juicy fruit that will hold on the tree for months. Easily peeled, highly ornamental fruits are held to the outside of the tree. Makes a beautiful landscape or container specimen. Lime Kaffir 4'-6' Kaffir lime leaves look like two leaves joined together, as one appears to grow from the tip of the other. The leaves are most often used as an essential ingredient for flavoring many Asian dishes such as soups, curries and fish. Because they produce very little juice, the juice and flesh of Kaffir limes is rarely used, but the sourtasting rind can be finely grated and used for flavoring dishes. Lemon New Zealand 6'-8' Sep-Oct Said to be a cross between a navel orange and a lemon. The fruit has a pale yellow rind and is relatively easy to peel. The low acid flesh has a sweet and tangy flavor, much like home-made lemonade. Lemon Dwarf Improve4'-6' Sep-Nov Great for growing in containers. 'Dwarf Improved Meyer' lemons are 'Improved Meyer' lemons that have been grafted onto a dwarf rootstock. They have the same great flavor as the 'Improved Meyer' lemon and are very prolific. The fruit turns a golden yellow when ripe and the flesh is sweet and juicy with low acidity.

3 Page 3 Kumquat Meiwa 6'-8' Nov-Dec Known as the Sweet Kumquat, Meiwa has golden-orange colored fruit. The highly fragrant blooms arrive in summer with fruit ripening during the winter months. The fruit is small and round, 'Meiwa' kumquats are best for fresh eating as both the skin and the pulp are edible. Hardy to 10 degrees fahrenheit. Mandarin Page 8'-10' Oct-Feb This is a cross between a 'Minneola' tangelo and a 'Clementine' mandarin also known as a "Tantangelo". The medium sized fruit has a slightly pebbled orange exterior. The flesh colour is a deep orange, tender and juicy with a sweet flavor. Protect from freezing weather. Lemon Variegated Pi 6'-8' Sep-Oct A unique form of lemon with beautiful leaves edged in creamy white. The fruit is striped in yellow and green and the flesh is pink. Mature size in a container will be 6'-8' tall and wide. Hardy to zone 9. Should be protected from frost and freezing temperatures. Lime Thornless Key 8'-10' Oct-Dec An upright, thornless tree, fruit is thin-skinned and has very few seeds. Key Lime trees make a great container grown or patio plant. Great for cooking or adding a special garnish to drinks. Hardy to Zone 9, must be protected from freezing temperatures. Lemon Eureka Frost 10'-15' Jun-Aug An improved selection of the popular 'Eureka' variety with a sweeter flavor, cold hardy to zone 9 but can be grown in a container and brought in during the winter months. Produces large, sweet, juicy fruit with a yellow flesh and few seeds. Orange Valencia 15'-20' Oct-Nov If you want fresh squeezed orange juice, then a Valencia orange is the one to plant. Considered a sweet orange they are juicier than most other varieties. The fruit is almost seedless with thin-skinned, deep golden rinds. Orange Moro 8'-10' Oct-Nov The Moro is a Blood Orange with deep red flesh and a rind with a bright red blush. The flavor is sweet with a hint of raspberry. The flesh can range in color from orange-veined with ruby coloration, to vermilion, to vivid crimson, to nearly black. Orange Vaniglia Sang8'-10' Oct-Dec This cultivar of the famous Blood Orange produces a purple-red fruit inside that is amazingly sweet and juicy. It blooms in late winter and spring with fruit ripening in fall and winter. Great for containers on your patio. Satsuma Owari Frost 10'-15' Nov-Dec The flavor of the Owari Frost is sweet with just a hint of acidity. Very easy to peel and almost seedless, the redorange rind incases the orange flesh. Tangerine Sunburst 8'-10' Oct-Dec This tangerine gets it's name from the "sunburst" shape on the stem end. The skin is dark orange, smooth and easy to remove. The flesh inside has few seeds with lots of juice and a very sweet flavor with a touch of acidity. Grapefruit Rio Red 10'-15' Sep-Nov Rio Red Grapefruit is an improved form of older red-fleshed grapefruits, it is more cold-resistant and faster growing. The ripe fruit has pale-yellow skin with an attractive red flush. Cut it open and it is full of sweet, red flesh with very few seeds. Red-fleshed grapefruits are much sweeter than white-fleshed ones. Fig Brown Turkey 15'-20' Jun Also known as 'Texas Everbearing,' this fig with medium to large fruit with purplish-brown skin has rich, amberpink flesh. Reliably good, sweet flavor best eaten fresh. Produces partially closed eye fruit late spring and late summer, with an outstanding winter hardiness. All figs are self fertile. Celeste 15'-20' Jun Produces many small to medium-sized figs that ripen to green flushed with violet. Flesh is white, firm, juicy and very sweet. Most cold hardy fig. Good preserved and fresh. Figs are self fertile. LSU Purple 10'-15' Jun-Jul Developed by LSU, this medium sized, red to dark purple fruit has amber to strawberry red flesh. A heavy, early yielder of closed eye fruit in July, they are often followed by a later fall crop. Very mild and sweet, it is great eaten fresh if picked a few days after turning black, wrinkled, and elongated. A vigorous, upright grower, it adapts to container culture, if protected from colder temperatures. Black Italian 10'-15' Jun-Jul Fruit is nearly jet black with deep red pulp. Produces two distinct crops, an early crop on old wood and a late summer crop on new wood. Sweet and tasy eaten fresh. Self-fertile. Little Miss Figgy 4'-6' Aug-Sep This dwarf fig will dazzle you with its deeply lobed, blue-green leaves and spectacular, dark purple fruits. Reaching 4 to 6 feet tall and 3 to 4 feet wide. Perfect for landscapes and containers. Ischia 10'-15' Jun-Jul Ischia is a green-skinned fig with a closed eye. The large, sweet fruit can measure up to 2 inches in diameter. Inside color of the flesh is strawberry and the figs can be eaten fresh or dried to enjoy later. This fig variety can produce two crops a year, especially if it s grown in a warm location during the fall months to give the second crop time to ripen. When ripe the fruit is still green but somewhat puckered in appearance. All figs are self fertile. Little Ruby 24"-36" Jun-Jul Suitable for containers, Little Ruby has a natural dwarf habit with small, tasty, bite-sized, maroon-colored fruit. It produces an early, strong crop on the previous year s shoot growth. This new fig is cold hardy to zone 6 and great for patio plantings. All figs are self fertile Grape Albemarle Muscadine20'-30' Aug-Sep Albemarle is an all black Muscadine Grape that is classified as medium in size with excellent flavor. It matures early to mid season and has a high sugar content. Good for fresh eating, jucies and jellies. Self fertile. Blanc Du Bois 8'-10' Jun-Jul Vigorous vine, medium-sized clusters of 45 to 55 grapes. Ripens in late June through early July in South and East Texas. Matures at 8 to 10 feet tall and 10 to 12 feet wide. Pierce disease resistant. Makes an excellent accent.

Thin skinned, dark purple grape with tender, juicy flesh. Heavily productive vines ripen late July-early August. Performs well in Dallas. Champanel 10'-15' Jul Large, vigorous American hybrid black grape with high heat and drought tolerance. Resistant to most diseases and nematodes, and tolerant of alkaline soils. Well adapted to gardens in the South and Southwest. Great for jelly. Scuppernong 20'-30' Jul-Aug Scuppernong is a variety of Muscadine Grapes that are native to the SE United States & have been cultivated for over 400 years by Native Americans (Scuppernong means 'Sweet Bay' in the Algonquin Indian's tongue.) These plump, round, green to bronze fruits bear a thick, tart skin and viscous, light, sweet pulp prized for juicing and making wine. Plant with a self-pollinating (female) variety for best fruit production. Neptune 6'-8' Jun-Jul A yellow-green seedless table grape, with mid-season uniform ripening. Produces large clusters with medium size, fruity and pleasant flavored berries similar to Thompson. White Delight Four 15'-20' June White Delight Four has a firm, low-acid fruit with a white flesh. The flavor is sweet and juicy making them a good choice for fresh eating.
