2 Gastronomie Vierwaldstättersee The region between Pilatus, Fronalpstock and Rigi could be considered something of a Swiss Bermuda triangle. For centuries, countless poets, writers and artists have lost their hearts to the lake and the land around it. Why is this part of Switzerland so well beloved? Perhaps it is simply too beautiful and too mystical for anyone to remain unfazed by it! The cradle of Switzerland is indeed rich in lore and legend, including the well-known tale of Wilhelm Tell. Certainly the serenity and tranquility of these amazing landscapes are also major reasons why we love working here. We try hard to match the impressive size and scale of our mountains with culinary creations that are equally as pleasing. Our catering philosophy is based on using wholesome local ingredients from farmers, butchers and cheesemakers that we personally know and trust. This allows us to serve you honest fare that is naturally satisfying. Our fish and seafood is also sustainably sourced, with certification from MSC/ASC. All of our dishes are cooked fresh upon your order, using seasonal ingredients. We vary our menus according to the time of the year, allowing for a dining experience that is always rich in variety. For those cruises denoted with a wine glass symbol (t) in the timetable, the offer is intended for 20 or more people. In case you make a reservation for a cruise denoted with the wine glass symbol, we do reserve the right to deploy additional catering staff at extra cost. In order to efficiently serve you and your guests, we request that you select one of these standardized offers and chose the same item for the entire group. They have yet to see a stable from inside and their pastoral life is only disrupted every two days, when the local farmer comes to look after them and also brings them some salt. We don t know if it s the fresh mountain air, the free range grazing or the mystical setting of Uri that makes their meat taste so good, we simply are pleased to offer you a regional delicacy that is a true treat for all connoisseurs. 17 Conditions Children up to 12 years of age pay half the list price for starters or main dishes (smaller portions provided). All catering orders must be placed at least 14 days in advance. 7 days before the actual event, we need to know the final number of participants. Up to 2 days before the actual event we can accommodate a 10% reduction in the final number of participants for parties smaller than 200 people, respectively 5% for parties larger than 200 people without charge. Any changes made at a later point cannot be considered and the full price will be invoiced. In case of an order cancellation, the following charges will apply: Cancellation up to 14 days before the event: no charge Cancellation up to 7 days before the event: 40% of the total amount Cancellation up to 3 days before the event: 50% of the total amount If a cancellation is made within 3 days of an event, the customer will have to pay 100% of the agreed services. In case you are paying for our catering services by invoice, payment will be required within 30 days from the invoice being issued. Unless specifically stated, all prices are listed in Swiss Francs (CHF) and include 8% VAT. No commissions can be granted. We do not serve alcohol to guests under 16 years of age. Spirits and alcopops are not served to guests under 18 years of age. All of our high quality meat products are from Switzerland. Our fish and seafood has been MSC/ASC certified. In case your group travels on one of our smaller vessels, without extensive catering infrastructure, we will invoice additional staff costs at the following rates: catering managers or senior chefs 68 CHF per hour, wait staff 53 CHF per hour. Naturally our sales team would inform you in advance, if your plans would create such extra costs.
